This is a set of 4 risers/baskets. I am a vendor at several farmer’s markets and am always looking for new ideas. These incorporate nicely into my booth. They nest when not in use too, so to store them isn’t too much of a hassle. They are made maybe of pine or poplar? Very lightweight. The stain is supposed to look rustic. I’d order them again. I’m very happy with them.

Kudos to the seller for listing these as cake stands. That is a legitimate, and creative, use for them. They would do that job fairly well. But they aren't cake stands, as such. What you get in this kit is four small wooden crates. The sizes in the listing seem to be accurate so basically you could fit dinner plates in the large one and maybe cocktail napkins in the small one. The other two sizes are in between. They nest for storage so you can tuck them away when you aren't using them, and they can be used upside down, right side up, sideways, or probably diagonally if you put your mind to it.The construction seems to be glue and very small nails, so these aren't going to be strong crates you can use to carry heavy loads.The finish looks like the wood was very lightly burned with a torch. Not burned so much as singed. Touched. It's actually rather nice looking, feels completely natural, and I don't know how well it will hold up long term. I don't think there is anything preventing dirt or food particles from getting into the wood grain, which means these might be better as single-use decor for a party rather than as something a restaurant will use long term.I'm planning on using them as part of a product photo backdrop and I think they will look nice when used that way.I could easily see using these at home for organizing small items on bookshelves, or to subdivide larger drawers. They would work well as risers for putting nicknacks on shelves as well, or adding some dimensionality and character to a display case.Why 4 stars? Because for what they are being listed as, cupcake display stands, I don't think they are great. At my coffee shop we have baked goods we need to display and not only is it difficult to arrange these into a good display for the baked goods we have (Which are standard sized muffins and the like, very similar to cupcakes) for customers. As an arranged photo "stage"? Sure, but for us they aren't good for what they are being sold for. Still a solid choice for what they are.

I ordered these beautiful boxes for a Christmas vendors market in my neighborhood to use as storage or display and the color fits my theme perfectly! The color is true to color maybe slightly darker but the issue at hand is that the packaging came already opened and the biggest box was disassembled, almost as though the manufacturer forgot to glue the prices together?!! If I didn't have wood glue I would have had to return it for a new one but who is to say it was going to be sent in one piece? That's why it's rated the way ut is, great concept and product, just be careful about the delivery. Lastly with how thin the wood is, it should not be priced a high as it is.

First, they came with broken pieces of styrofoam separating the boxes so there were a million little styrofoam pieces everywhere.The only thing I've done so far is pick them up, set them up on a table, and put them back down. In that time, the white yarn that I put on top is now stained with black smudges where it was touching the box. Also, the second I set them down (gently) one of the slats broke off on one side. There were no screws, pegs, nothing but a very thin layer of glue.These aren't worth it, find something else.
