This is a great art drying rack. And the shelves are just deep enough for larger paper, like 11x14 watercolor paper, and 12x12 scrapbook paper. It seems to be very well made, good quality wood, smooth sanded edges. It was a bit tricky to put together, but I think that the design is well thought out. I ended up putting the first pieces together in a different order than shown in the instructions, which helped give it stability faster -- but it might be easier to have an assistant (like one of your kids) in the beginning, just so you have an extra hand to hold something in place while you are screwing the first few pieces together. But once it is together, it is done and all is good. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and am happy with it.

This rack was a bit of a pain to assemble, but once we got that out of the way, it has been great. My little artist churns out projects very quickly - going from one medium to another, so sometimes we have projects spread out to dry. This has really changed the clutter and space required. I appreciate that the shelves slide out for ease of access, and the top layer has slots to help you prop up differently-shaped projects. This would be great for a small classroom or daycare. It's very sturdy and has a good weight, so it won't get knocked around by busy hands.

I've put together most, if not all, of the cabinets and furniture in my home, so I figured that this was easy. For the hefty price you're paying for this rack ($46 on amazon), I cannot believe that they make you put this rack together yourself because step one was awful and weird. I had to hold the side board and place the lower board between my legs together and attempt to screw the tiny screw. My hand drill was my saving grace, since it made the job do SO much faster versus the screwdriver that was provided. The boards are lightweight, so you don't have the leverage of weight in comparison to heavy furniture. It's delicate. I ended up splitting up one lower piece because I missed the hole. After all, these are not quality pieces of wood, but wood laminate of some sort. Since the base is covered by the other racks, it's not noticeable. The Woodtoe company provides a little note that their team of designers are new parents and professional wooden toy designers. Perhaps in consideration of new parenthood, the company could have built the rack prior to having it shipped to customers, because bragging about their team while churning out an unassembled product doesn't make me want to recommend this to other parents. New or old.Care instructions warn not to get this wet, but this defeats the purpose of a drying rack.On a positive note, after assembly, I decided to use this rack to hold wooden puzzles. Fingers crossed that it will hold up.

This was a tad difficult to assemble but I think that’s more user error than anything so I would still give this five stars. It had everything you needed including a screw driver but in the end had to ask someone with an actual drill to help. Once the rack was all assembled though it was absolutely stunning! I love that you pull out the draws and have actually decided to use it as a puzzle rack instead of art drying rack, as that fits my classroom needs better. I would highly recommend not only this product but the makers of this product to other moms and Montessori teachers.

I had gotten this art drying rack as my daughter and I do a lot of art paintings for homeschooling plus fun. It’s just what we needed to safely allow the work to dry without being disturbed. It arrived quickly and the pieces wrapped securely in bubble wrap. It was easy to assemble with 5 screws left over. The wood is of good condition and quite smooth to the touch. One piece of wood was slightly warped at the ends but it slid into place quite easily. I suspect it will flatten nicely over time. The art drying rack can hold 7 pieces of artwork at a time and measures at a good 15.16”D x 11.65”W x 9.92”H. It will easily hold an artwork piece at the size of 11” x 14” and canvases that are 3/4” thick. If one wishes, they could remove a rack for a thicker canvas or for miniatures. I highly recommend this art drying rack for other art enthusiasts, parents, or art teachers.
