Bought this for my Mossberg Plinkster. It fit great and I had no issues attaching it to the dovetail upper of my Plinkster.

I bought this adapter for my .22lr rifle and I couldn’t be happier. It fits perfectly on the 3/8 inch dovetail rail and it’s very sturdy and lightweight. It allows me to mount any Picatinny compatible scope, red dot, or magnifier on my rifle with ease. The installation was a breeze and it didn’t affect the accuracy of my shots at all. This adapter is a must-have for anyone who wants to upgrade their optics on their dovetail rail equipped firearms. It’s a monstrously good product!

My RWS came supplied with a (permanently) installed dovetail mount that I needed to adapt in order to mount a Bushnell 'red dot' optic. The mount is very well build and installed well with only one caveat. There are two holes in the factory dovetail that should allow for this Monstrum adapter to use the supplied fixing screw. Unfortunately, neither of the holes lined up with the fixing screw placement and still allowed me to get the Bushnell where I wanted it. I tried orienting the adapter both ways but ended up putting the clamp where I wanted it, securing the clamp screws (used blue Loctite for security) and then tightening the fixing screw lightly onto the top of the dovetail rail. It's not into one of the holes of the mount but is tightened onto the grooves. It's not going to move. And the slight issue is in no way an issue with the Monstrum. As you can see from the photo, I have the cantilevered portion to the rear and the optic mounted so it clamps onto both the solid part and the cantilever section. Super solid. I'm not worried a bit about it staying put or losing zero.A few others have indicated that their mount didn't sit flat on their dovetail. No issues like that whatsoever with my install. It worked for, I'm sure it will work for you.

I have one of these, which is the model that was on Amazon, before this product was taken down, for a few months. That is the good one.The second one, which I have, is, well; it's not even close to what they used to sell, and, it's more than disappointing. No idea what happened at Monstrum, but the first one was so well made, and you could tell that the quality control aspect was, just as much of a priority, as the great care in manufacturing. The second one, is well, all but useless, unless you are someone who is handy with tools, and some light metalwork, but even then, you could just buy something better, possibly spending less too.The second product doesn't even look like the older variant, that I have, it looks like a cheap clone. The metal is uneven, and, I have mounted both to test this out, and after numerous times of doing that, it looks like this is more of a project to fix yourself, just to get it to mount, to be as is as advertised.I can't do a Pro's/Con's list for this. I do not know what happened, or why Monstrum is now just, making what used to be something highly recommendable, into a total disappointment. I can only speculate, their popularity increased, or it had something to do with the global pandemic affecting their production, and, the dreaded idea that they're shipping things overseas entirely, to save money and, not really caring about the quality anymore. If you do get one of these, I'd do two things; 1. Call Monstrum and explain that you'd like the variation released before this product was taken off their Amazon store. 2. Wait, and do not purchase this, until Monstrum starts to take the downward trend of the reviews seriously (here's to hoping), and changes it back to, what was once a great product.Monstrum, please just go back to how you used to make these, because these new models, are really really bad, compared to what you made, before they were inexplicably taken down. I truly am beyond disappointed.

Bolts up flat and squarely with no hitches to an 11mm dovetailed receiver. I saw no defects in reciever mating as reported here in other reviews.Any picatinny mounted sighting device mates up to it flawlessly. I used this as an intermediary mount to install a red dot on a Henry .22 but it is a flexible enough mounting system for a scope or reflex sight. Good quality, right price for small bore platforms

Sits well on the dovetail on my Diana air rifle. The optic I have mounted sat on it perfectly and level. Solid metal construction with no flaws I could find. Well made and handy little rail.Edit... I have just attempted to mount a scope using a high quality weaver scope rings that I happened to have on hand. The rings would not fit on the rail as it was to wide for the rings.

Nice product, shipped quickly and for a good price. It does what it needs to do.Came with 2 small allen wrenches; a spare clamp screw for the 3/8 rail; and a socket head set screw that inserts vertically through the hole in the top of the rail.Dimensions are of interest to many so here they are:Length along 3/8 dovetail mouting: just under 3 inches. (2 31/32) Solid. No space between clamps on this part. Just one long clamp bar.Length of Picatinny rail 3 15/16 inches.Overall height: 11/16 inchBecause of its length be sure you have room to mount it where you intend, both the dovetail part and the Picatinny part. In my installation the height also renders the iron sights not useable because it blocks the front sight, but the purpose of this was to mount a reflex sight anyway.Peter
