While the product is as pictured and includes "dollar" paper bills to practice on, I did not know enough about origami to complete the projects. The illustrations needed to be a little more instructive. I set it aside for a while, I'll have to get back to it to see if I can develop the mysterious talent of paper folders.

This is a great gift for anyone, but especially nice for grads to introduce them to origami. I substitute real dollar bill as part of the gift.Personally I love to make the origami money ring to leave as a tip, which is exactly how I learned about it when someone tipped me with a dollar ring years ago.

I am an adult looking for some easy artistic hobbies, and I purchased this and one other book to start on origami. It was easy to follow the directions, and I appreciated the fake dollars for practice.

I got this for my 14 year old son for Christmas. He's interested in origami and likes the fact that he can use money to make things. He says his school buddies think the creations are pretty cool. It comes with some play-money to practice on, but after that I find it works best on newer bills rather than old beat-up ones.

I like this a lot. Plan on following a tradition by giving dollar bills this holiday season. My recent introduction to origami makes this a natural inclusion. The book gives a good foundation for basic origami money shapes. The DVD helps clarify folds and techniques. For me it aided in clarification of different folds. I did 5 projects with in first hour. I see how I can progress to harder dollar bill projects with a decrease in confusion. The fake money is printed copy paper. It's basically to give the reference points you need to follow for real dollar. I used them if project needed specific dollar ference point for easier mastering.

This is really a interesting and motivating activity book for teens and up. It comes with excellent instructions, a CD, and a lot of fake money for practice. All you need is time and patience.I gave this kits as gifts to two teens (ages 12 & 13). Both teens needed a bit of adult assistance to complete their first project, a dollar ring. Each boy was really excited once they got started. When they finished the ring and put it on they were busy talking about it and showing it off to everyone. This book encourages reading, following directions and success.

The packaging of this book is beautifully designed with a box, some sample money to play with, written instructions and how-to movies of all the folds. I always find a video of origami a thousand times easier to follow than written instructions. So that was appreciated here and well worth the price.I bought The Money Origami Kit as a gift for someone who knows nothing about origami but says he wants to know how to make money folds. I thought this a perfect way to introduce him to origami where he can learn some of the easier diagrams and at the same time create something that has special meaning for him.Michael LaFosse's Origami Money Kid is a wonderful gift for anyone including yourself.
