INGIDO Tactical Molle Radio Holster

This pouch fit my Explorer QRZ-1 radio very well (basically a TYT TH-UV88 clone). I used it all weekend during the latest ham radio field day event, and it worked great. Most of the time it lived on my messenger bag and was very securely attached due to the MOLLE strap configuration on the back. The pouch overall is relatively well-made with just a very minor lack of attention to detail on the stitching (more on that later). These MOLLE straps are completely removable if needed, which is pretty handy. The pouch is made from a rugged Cordura nylon fabric that is found on a lot of tactical gear. The pouch has two stages of securement utilizing a single length of elastic cord fed through nylon attachment loops on the rear panel and inner Velcro tab in a figure eight arrangement. The cord terminates after being fed through a spring loaded friction lock which has the outer Velcro tab attached to it. Even though I have never had a retention cords fail, I can appreciate the value of redundancy. Although, if redundancy is the point then using a single cord through both attachment points is questionable. The full-Length, loop style, velcro tab on the front could seem like overkill, but I like having extra velcro to stick things to occasionally. The stitch work overall is strong, but does have unusual seams and loose threads at various points (see pics). None of these seem to affect the structural integrity, however.Overall, I would say that this is a pretty good pouch with an excellent value.

I paired this with a BAOFENG UV-5R Radio with the large battery installed for scale. Even with the added length the battery gives, the top is just tall enough to poke out of the pouch. I have to put the antenna through the retention lanyard to ensure it stays inside since it doesn't fit snugly. I have to take the antenna off to remove the radio, but since I use a remote mic this isn't an issue. The Molle straps fit my belt albeit a bit difficult to fit the buttons on the strap through the belt. Once installed on the belt it fits perfectly. It is decently built, the specifications are correct and I don't have any issues with the workmanship or quality. The pouch material is thin and not something I would use for duty. It won't hold up to the abuse you may encounter on the field. For the weekend or Airsoft warrior, this will work nicely.

Overall this is a solid radio pouch with a sturdy MOLLE attachment system which also doubles as a standard belt loop. I was and still am confused by the fastening system, there are 2 hook and loop tear offs on the elastic cord, one which goes inside and one outside. This is both redundant and awkward since you cant attach the inside one with the radio inserted... Anyway, I just untied the cord, removed the inside one and use just the outside one, this holds a radio in place just fine. The pouch is plenty big enough for my Baofeng GM21 with belt clip attached and the elastic holds it firmly in place.I was disappointed by some of the stitching, where hook and loop patches are not stitched squarely to the pouch material and the cord loops are not stitched in a line. This does not detract greatly from the performance of the pouch, but it does diminish the product aesthetically.I like this pouch and it will get some use during hikes and on the campsite.

Exactly as described, the molle straps on the back are of a different anchor than I'm used to, they're buckles in a way so you can wholly remove them. Elastic cord is long enough that it worked just fine with everything I tried it with. May even work just fine as a belt-mounted plastic water bottle holder, but I've not tried that yet. Little awkward getting used to the thing, but that is on me. I would probably fumble with it in an emergency situation, but again, that is on me, not on the pouch. All in all, a very good piece of kit, glad I have it.

This radio pouch is exactly what I was looking for.I use a Baofeng radio and it fits well. The material feels very rugged and durable and the molle straps are flexible but rigid enough to slip though the molle webbing easily. The buttons snap securely and I don’t have any hesitations about my radio falling out.The only thing that caught me off guard was the color on the khaki version. It’s close to “coyote brown” but not quite. It’s not a deal breaker by any means, and camouflage is significantly more effective when it’s mixed, so I don’t have an issue with it.For the price, you can’t go wrong. It doesn’t come with patches or any extra bells and whistles, but that’s what I love about it. It’s a no frills product that does what it’s meant to do and does it well.

This is a very good and sturdy radio pouch. The molle connections are strong and all the stitching is tight/well done. The materials are top notch and very sturdy; ready for field use. As a prepare, I appreciate this quality. The only con is the retention system, which is overly complicated and sure to frustrate when you need to remove a radio from the pouch. I have 30+ years of belt-work radio pouches and a single & simple retention strap is best, not this multi-faceted velcro/shock cord/nylon strap setup. You are highly unlikely to lose your radio with this pouch but you're also unlikely to be able to remove it promptly, when desired.
