We have a couple of homes and I've used a similar kit before. I'd say this one is made of higher quality plastic and came nicely packaged compared to the last.I think anyone that is looking at this item probably has a concern or a fear or wonder that there's mold in their home. This is a great starting point! Just remember, there's always some amount of mold spore in the air and it's important to follow the instructions regarding storage and time so that you don't get yourself all riled up for no reason!It makes as a great project to do with kids (nephews and nieces in our case) as it's totally safe at the sampling stages and they find it as interesting as I did to see the results.Set one outside your home so you can have a "control" and then the others in areas of suspicion and the directions outline the rest!If you do get positive results, I'd recommend having them confirmed with an indoor air quality professional, who can take spore trap samples and send them off to a lab!

Incredible deal for this 12 pack. Very easy to use mold test kit. With this amount of petri dishes, you can test multiple rooms and HVAC air. They also offer free lab analysis. I used one in my laundry room and it was an easy process. Opened the dish for 1 hour and then close the lid and let it incubate for 48 hours.

It works very well and it's easy to use. I did send my results off to the lab and I'm only taking a star off because despite asking them to analyze my sample they suggested I pay for lab analysis
