Compared to other top name brand Radon Meter this one is pretty accurate. I had the chance to compare and it trurns out pretty great. I like this one because its pretty cheap too. Functionalily is very straightforward too.

This detector is great for those who want to test the radon in their homes without having a stranger in your home. This detector offers both long and short-term monitoring. It is very user friendly. The LCD screen shows large and clear numbers and lettering, ensuring you are always aware of the levels in your home. It is compact in size, making it convenient for all placements. It provides peace of mind and accurate readings for a safer living environment. The best part is no lab fees and no waiting. Treat this like a smoke or CO2 sensor-as a necessity for your family.

We were just about ready to remodel our basement and we wanted to check to make sure there were no radon issues since we were going to be spending more time down there. This unit was super easy to use and we actually found some elevated readings where there was a hole in the slab for a shower to be added in the future. We were able to seal up this hole and re-test in many locations in the basement and now we feel confident that there are no health issues with radon. Results are pretty fast usually within a couple of hours and the unit is super easy to use. Just turn it on and set it where you want a reading.

I bought this after our home inspector had detected some radon on our basement. I don't remember what I had to do to get it going, but I've set it on a shelf and haven't touched it since. After letting it run into the winter, I noticed that my radon levels spiked during the first freeze of the season. I called a radon mitigation company and said that my radon levels were slightly concerning. He asked which monitor I was using, and said that this was one of the best residential monitors I could get.Once he came and installed his radon mitigation system, he retested the radon levels in the basement with his industrial tester. We compared results from our machines and they were exactly the same. This monitor does what it needs to, is super easy, and is the reason why I no longer have dangerous radon in my home.

I ran a radon test for 3 days while I was away for vacation. On my desk, I had this LifeBasis device, an EcoQube, and a First Alert charcoal laboratory test. When I returned 3 days later, I sent away the charcoal test to the lab to get its results. That result was 5.4 pCi/L. My EcoQube average over those 3 days was 5.38. But this LifeBasis average was 12.70 for those 3 days. I've suspected that this device was way off for a while because it sometimes says around 50 pCI/l while my EcoQube says 10.If accurate numbers are important to you, I recommend everyone get a second device or pay for a charcoal test occasionally to compare results with.---------------------------UPDATE:LifeBasis shipped me a replacement meter at no charge since mine was under warranty. Thank you, LifeBasis. But...I thought this new one had accurate numbers at first, but now that it's been running for a few days, it's back up to similar numbers as the first one. So right now, I have two LifeBasis meters that show 13.00 and 15.24 averages over the past few days, my EcoQube is showing 4.8 average over that time, and that lab result from 1-2 months ago said 5.4. Worse, the 1-day averages on these two LifeBasis meters are drastically different from each other: the old one says 5.21 and the new one says 14.51. Both are in pCi/L mode.I'm guessing the lab result is most accurate, the EcoQube seems more trustworthy just because it's more expensive and matched the lab result, and both of these LifeBasis meters might be the ones that are wrong, but it's impossible to be sure without buying more meters or more lab tests.

I think this is an excellent life basis home radon detector, because it can monitor both short term and long term radon. It has a fairly large display and is battery powered. This life basis home radon detector is very easy to use and the readings are very accurate. It has a portable design so it is easy to move to different areas of my home and it has worked very well during my time using it.

The reading fluctuates like crazy. One day it's 50 and the next day it's 2. There's no way the radon level is changing that much. The attached photo shows a pair of these which were installed side by side, reset and observed after 48 hours. The difference is more than the allowable amount!
