these things are great! I have 4 in my spread now. the motion is fantastic. i have them on texas rigs and they dont just make ripples in the water, they actually move around like theyre swimming. takes 4 AA batteries for each one. but I had these things on the water running nonstop for 8+ hors a day for 12 days this season before I had to change the batteries. will buy more, would highly recommend

I've had great hunts with this in my spread. Definitely brings life to the spread in slow moving water. Had more groups circle back when I added this to the group. I've ordered more and will continue to.

When placed in the middle of our decoy spread created enough ripples to give the impression that they were live.

The Mojo Rippler is a must have to add to your spread, in my opinion. Out of my usual 36 duck spread I would like to have 12 ripplers in all. On them mornings that there isn’t a shreed of wind not only is the mojo moving but the other decoys get moving from the ripple effect. Anyone that uses the rippler agrees it’s much much better then yanking on a pull string try ing to give your ducks some movement! If I could change one thing I would love it if the rippler was a rechargeable unit because you can go through some batteries but on the other hand that would drive the price up. Just get some decent rechargeable batteries.

I run 2 or 3 of these scattered thru the decoy spread on calm days to put some movement on the water. Makes a difference! Less effective when there’s a wind

RONNY THE RIPPLER!!What an awesome looking decoy to add to your flock! This is one of Mojo's cheapest "Motion Decoys" but there really is nothing cheap about it! Overall the decoy is a little larger than a standard decoy (which I like) and the paint job is pretty great too. It takes 4 AA batteries that lasted quite a while in below zero temps. And in the event it does die, it acts as a regular decoy so no need to run and grab it when the batteries die. The only thing I have found as a negative was when tossing the decoy far out into the water, the batteries came lose on impact so I had to go out there and fix it but as long as you set it you shouldn't have a problem! Also if I were to be really picky, I'd request an addition to the bottom of the decoy where you can wrap your cord around. There really is no good way to wrap a cable around this decoy. But that seems to be pretty standard with all Mojo decoys. As far as motion, it creates some pretty realistic looking ripples about 5 feet around the decoy. Would love to have like 5 of these going. For sure well worth the money! Highly recommended by an avid Mallard Hunter!

Doesn't put out as much ripple as the Lucky Duck Quiver Butt. I bought both at the same time to try out and the Lucky Duck puts this one to shame. Also, it doesn't have the best seal on the bottom so water will leak in if you leave it out all day. Not a major issue, but it's just something else to have to dry out at the end of a hunt. If you're on the fence about this or the Lucky Duck, spend the extra money for the Lucky Duck Quiver Butt. The Lucky Duck puts out at least twice as much ripple and has much better construction. Don't get me wrong, I'll still be using this Mojo in my spread, as it puts out an alright amount of ripple. However, I will buy 10 Lucky Duck Quiver Butts before I even think about buying this Mojo quiver decoy again.

This is a preliminary review, I have had this decoy less than a week, and took it out hunting only once, so we shall see how it holds up in the long run.Water Proof: There are two openings that represent possible routes for water entry. The large opening that unscrews to access the motor and batteries seems to seal nicely, but so far also seems to resist getting stuck. The second opening it the On/Off switch, which is covered with rubber. The switch is small and requires a very firm press to operate. This should prevent accidentally being switched on in transport, but it requires a very focused push to operate. The rubber here is fairly thick but a good point to check for leaksSize: It has a smaller body than a standard mallard decoy, offset by a large tail, the picture does not do it justice. The overall length including the tail is about the same as a standard mallard decoy, and birds probably wont notice the difference. I suspect the body is smaller to help make the ripples bigger.Color: Beautiful paint job and texture on the decoy body. It will look good in your spread even if the motor dies. Thats one of the benefits of using this instead of a quiver magnet- once it dies, it just becomes a normal decoy.Ripples / Quiver: I am fairly impressed with the ripples it makes in the water. This puts out substantially larger ripples than the Expedite Quiver Magnet. I have not used other quiver products to compare it to.Battery Life: Not enough testing yet. The first set of batteries is still running after 3 hours of hunting.Durability: The motor sits in a deep plastic cup within the decoy body. If water does leak into the body cavity, it should stay outside the cup and keep the motor dry. This should allow you too toss and turn the decoy with a small amount of water in it without getting the motor or batteries wet. This cup also should provide a secondary protection for the motor and batteries from a stray shot pellet or two!Hits: Great color and body, will make a nice decoy if the batteries die. I'm pleased with the size of the ripples. Thoughtful design should keep motor from getting wet.Misses: Can't be used with a keel grabber weight (fine for use with a Texas rig though). Short advertised battery life (8 hrs). On/Off switch difficult to operate.
