I kept these in my storage unit which is essentially like a damp concrete room. The first time I put these in there, I forgot about them and when I found them like a year later, they were filled to the top with water. If that happens to you, I’d advise you to wear gloves because it was irritating when it splashed on my hand accidentally. I replaced them and after about a week there were a few drops of water inside. Another few weeks later, and there’s like 1/2 inch of water inside.So I’m confident in saying they pull moisture from the air and contain it. I use these in conjunction with a dehumidifier and it works well for me.

I use these in my closet. Last a long time and I don’t have to worry about the closet smelling musty. It’s not a good smell for my clothes either.
