The paper was not Glossy. It was very smooth, but not what I expected. The outside packaging was ripped, also.Gloss is the finish that we use for programs and brochures for our events. We have the same problem with ordering gloss paper in 8 1/2" x 11".The finish is not what we ordered.

I use this paper to print catalogs on and it does exactly what I need it to do. I purchased a few different reams of paper when I was deciding on which paper to use for the catalogs, this won.I've run 400 sheets through duplex on a Ricoh 830DN printer and not had a single problem so far.As for the other review which claimed the paper was 20lbs weight- I dont have the means to measure the thickness, but the paper feels the same as the other packs I bought at the same time to compare.

I purchased this paper so that I could print my mom's funeral program on the paper to have a great look and feel. However, when using the printer that was purchased for printing 11 x 17 paper, the ink smeared and did not dry correctly. I was truly disappointed. I had to end up taking the paper and getting it printed at a printer which was an additional cost in which I was trying to avoid.

I was a little worried about buying the cheapest gloss 11x17 paper I could find. When the paper arrived the package was split open at two or three corners on each package of paper, but the paper itself was not bent or ruined in any way. I bought this paper for small posters we print in house on a Canon(image runner advanced C5000). The posters came out beautifully. I'm pretty sure a lot of that has to do with the Canon which we recently upgraded to. Our previous printer didn't handle gloss paper nearly as well. I have no complaints about the paper at all. It looks great and I was really happy about the price. It's a great buy.

I ordered this paper because it claimed that it was 32 lb. It is not; it's actually 20 lb. I immediately noticed the 500 sheet package was much thinner than I expected. So, I measured the paper thickness - 0.0035". This is the same thickness as 20 lb paper. I opened it and tried it. I printed several labels and contact cemented them to some tempered hardboard boxes. Very shoddy looking, not like the actual 32 lb paper that I have previously used. Very Disappointed - a total waste of my money.Edit:I bought some real 32 lb 11 x 17 Boise High Def paper from Office Max. It is great - sheets are 0.0055" thick. Though not as glossy as the Mohawk paper, it works just great for my purposes. The hardboard boxes are decorative. They are covered with a printed label pattern and then high gloss clear coated so gloss paper is not necessary.

I purchased this to print off copies of my monthly newsletters. The quality of the paper is really great, now I don't have to spend extra money at staples or Kinkos to get my tabloid size printing done. No problems with paper jams or ink smudges.

This is exactly what I was looking for to make trifold brochures. The paper is glossy and substantial enough, yet easy to fold. Great value for those businesses who do their own printing (less than 9 cents a sheet including shipping costs). Fast shipping from the seller as well. Happy!
