I wasn’t sent the ‘Color’ ultra smooth paper advertised, though I was charged the higher price. The paper I was sent was of lesser quality. The paper was too heavy for me to return at an Amazon facility so I’m stuck using it.

This is Hammermill Paper, not HP-branded paper. Good paper, but a misleading description in Amazon!

I was immediately disappointed as I examined my first sheets of this paper. It is not the equal of my current HP laser 24lb paper at all, which is no longer available. It seems thin, more like a 20lb paper. I folded and weighed sheets of this new paper and they averaged 5.28 grams per sheet. I weighed my older paper and found an average of 5.54 grams per sheet. A ream of this new paper weighs approx. 130 grams less than my old paper. Draw your own conclusion. This paper is NOT a matte finish. This paper is NOT a gloss finish. I'll call it a semi-gloss and note that the surface is very smooth. Printing on this paper with a color laser printer gives you a sharp concise line making very fine 4 point text easy to read. The paper is somewhat transparent, more like a 20lb, showing the reverse of a duplex printed sheet more than I like and has a slick feel to the fingertips that makes page handling a bit difficult. I will not be buying this paper again as the reverse side of a duplex printed page shows too clearly thru the paper and will present badly to a client receiving a bound report. This paper is very good if you wish a one side only highly readable print that will be looked at on a solid dark surface such as a desktop.
