I used them to secure the legs of my hunting blind, and the result is a platform that feels like it could weather anything. These brackets are a must-have for any DIY outdoorsman, and I’m giving them a well-deserved five stars!Pros: • Heavy-Duty Build: Made from tough, powder-coated 13-gauge steel, these brackets are built to last. They’ve held up my 6x6 blind with 10-foot 4x4 legs rock-steady—no wobble, no worries, even with a 2000-pound load capacity claim! • Perfect Angle Design: The 8° compound angle is genius—it spreads the legs just right for maximum stability and prevents side-to-side sway. My stand feels like it’s bolted to the ground. • Crazy Easy to Use: Installation was a snap—12 pre-drilled holes per bracket made attaching them to my 4x4s and platform quick and painless. I had it all set up in under an hour. • Rust-Resistant Finish: The powder coating looks slick and keeps rust at bay, which is clutch for outdoor gear that’s exposed to the elements. They still look brand new after a wet season. • Versatile Value: At this price for a set of four, they’re a steal. I’m already planning to grab another set for a treehouse project—they’re that good for anything elevated.Cons: • Slightly Loose Fit on 4x4s: The brackets aren’t a super-snug fit on standard 4x4 posts, so there’s a tiny bit of play. I added shims to tighten it up, but it’s a minor tweak for an otherwise solid product. • No Screws Included: You’ll need to supply your own lag screws or bolts. It’s not a big deal, but it’d be nice if they tossed in a few to get started right out of the box. • Paint Chips Over Time: After some rough handling and a few months outside, I’ve noticed small chips in the powder coating. These are so nice, we've had issues moving stands from lease to lease and over time the two-by forming the floor base will split. These brackets eliminate that problem and make setting up a breeze. Price of these has come down over the years, so these are a must have, especially if you will be moving stands every few years, and these will probably outlive the lumber you use, so you can always re-use them on a new build if a storm destroys your stand.The angles are perfect too, so you get a more consistent leg placement and super easy, can't beat them.

This product worked great for building a hunting blind. Very easy to use and they seem heavy duty. The only downside is they don’t fit snug on a 4x4 post so I would advise adding a shim.
