Glad I found modbox years ago. This mailbox is fantastic and built very sturdy compared to an average mail box found at box stores and online. American made and nice note from the company in the package. A must have for mid-century/modern home owners My house is the envy of the neighbors and this mailbox is the cherry on top.

I bought the white box as it was cheaper than the pre painted one, and then I used my own spray paint to transform it. I wanted the color spray paint to be one that I could easily match all over my home exterior. So far it’s holding up, but the glossy base white does make it more difficult for spray paint to adhere to.The size of the box is huge! I really like how smooth the flag moves and goes up and down. Not a lot of downsides to this mailbox, other than cost, but in general you are paying for a much higher quality box that the typical aluminum ones sold at the store.

What a great mailbox. It’s expensive but I’m so glad I got it. My neighbors have complimented me on it and its mid century look is consistent with my 1957 house! Customer service is good and when I needed to communicate with them they were really nice and helpful. If you’re on the fence, do it. I don’t usually leave reviews but this mailbox deserves a good one.

It was love at first sight when I saw this mailbox. I thought I would be able to mount to a custom platform but struggled and decided to go back to the vendor for the pole that it was designed to go with.The one issue we did have shortly after installation was that the magnet that kept the door closed failed and had to be replaced with a stronger magnet. The second observation is that the top of the mailbox is flat and will collect water if you don’t give a slight pitch when installing. With all said I would recommend.

Well made mailbox! You really need to spend the extra money and get the box AND the post. The lines are striking. It is a heavier gauge metal than what you can get from the big box, and these look just ones you would see in the 50s, obviously. Made as well, too. My only criticism is that I spent a lot on this set and it didn't come with mounting bolts. Got a box of machine bolts and washers for like a buck and a half, but you'd think they'd come with. I'm crazy about the angles and color. Look how the angle of the flag follows the angle of the post! The green has a matching post, some of the other options don't, but there is a great selection to match up something you're sure to love.
