We purchased this to go on our trailer hitch style luggage basket as we were driving across several states while storms were expected. We were able to put four carry on size rolling suitcases in it, with room to spare.As expected we did run into storms on your journey and this back held up well! So very well, in fact, that none of our luggage get a single drop on it. I checked every time we got gas and everything was perfectly dry.It is a little stiff when you first take it out of the box, but that helped in holding it's shape once we got all of our things stuffed into it. I would definitely recommend this for anyone using it like we did.

I have a cargo carrier that I use for traveling and camping. I will use a plastic box to hold my camping stove, utensils, random camping gear, etc. The only thing is sometimes it rains and my box is not watertight. The wind blowing the rain around is not reassuring, even though I don't get much water in there, one drop is too much. Not only that, I can only pack boxes or coolers back there on the cargo carrier. There are times when I am moving things around in the back of my car and I want to put it on the cargo carrier. The only problem is it won't fit in my box or cooler. This Mockins bag is awesome for holding all my loose things on my cargo carrier. it is literally like a giant duffel bag that is a catch all. It stores everything I want in a waterproof container. I love that I can dump last minute forgotten things into the bag and not care that it's not in a box. The bag will hold it all. The included straps cinch things down securely and prevent the bag from flying off with bumps. The only thing is the bag will not look nice and flat on top if your are not packing regular boxes. Like rooftop cargo boxes, it's best to stuff it to be full so that rain will flow off. The bag does have great rubberized zipper line covers to prevent moisture from seeping in. There is also a sturdy flap that goes over the zipper. The material is on par with the other cargo bags I have used in the past. The only thing to be concerned with is the bottom of the bag since it is closer to the ground, rocks and other debris is liable to hit it and there is a risk of puncturing it. I will probably use a tarp to line the bottom to prevent rips in my cargo bag. Another nice feature is the zipper pulls which are bright yellow rubber pulls. This makes it infinitely easier to see in the dark and to grab and pull versus feeling for a small black zipper tab. Also included is a combination lock that when use to connect the zipper, can prevent casual thieves from unzipping and stealing things. The heavy rubber handles on either side of the bag is great when you are parked overnight at a hotel and you want to bring the whole bag inside. You and an assistant can easily carry it using the handles. Overall, this a great cargo bag for my hitch hauler. It's quite large and super versatile with regards to holding a ton of things either in a big box inside or just stuffing things loose in there. Either way, things will be secure and dry.

Since we don't use our bag all the time, storage is important. It folds nicely into it's storage relatively small storage bag. On the other hand when in use this bag seems sturdy, waterproof and roomy enough for the cargo we'll put in it.

Worked well on my 2500 mile trip in the middle of winter. Kept the cargo dry and protected. I found that with such a large space it is important to balance out the load so it doesn't shift during transport.

We’ve only used this bag once since we received it, but we are very pleased with its performance in our limited time putting it to work. The bag fits our 60 inch hitch carrier perfectly, and it has enough rigidity to maintain its structure once it is filled with cargo.When we go on long trips, we fill up our SUV in a hurry, and our hitch carrier historically only provided limited functionality for items that could be exposed to the elements. The fact that we had to worry about wind, rain, dust, and mud meant that we couldn’t put much on the hitch carrier previously. After seeing this cargo bags performance, we feel very comfortable in placing some items, like luggage, in this bag when we were taking longer trips. Stated simply, this bag closes securely, latches down tightly, and keeps items on the interior protected. Even if driving through a rain storm, I would have a little doubt that this bag would keep everything it holds dry and clean. It really is an effective addition to our travel gear!Overall, the durability of the bag seems top notch, as well. All indications are it will last many years if it is cared for properly and stowed away when it is not in use, which is a very good thing to see in the modern era of “throw away” products.We are very pleased with this product. It has been a great way to make better use of our cargo carrying capabilities!

I like that I can put several items in this bag and put them in a car trunk, truck bed, and storage area easily. I haven’t strapped them down on the back of a car and driven around in terrible conditions either so I can’t comment on that. The zipper seems appropriately sized and strong. I like the large size and how easy it is to fold up for storage. So far it does everything I want it to do and I could probably use it for even more things because of its design.
