nice and sturdy, and folds satisfyingly flat and compact. Also lighter than other options. BUT:1) the feet are rounded wood and need some rubber feet. a strip of rubber, rather than chair feet protectors, since the angle changes with each level.2) The top could use some threading or edge to prevent your foot from sliding.3) The back could use a latch to keep the stool either open or closed. All are simple home projects to fix, just disappointing they were not thought through. Without 1) and 2), the stool is unusable -- you will be busy keeping your leg and guitar in lace rather than simply playing. 3) is a nice-to-have for ease of moving around.I'll post a picture of these adjustments when I have them.

I use this as a foot rest while playing guitar. It elevates my leg so I can be more comfortable while playing and holding the guitar. This is on the small side. It slides on the floor too easily.

This foot rest is aesthetically pleasing and practical, blending a simple design with study, beautifully-stained bamboo to provide an effective foot rest that offers 4 levels of foot elevation, ranging roughly from 4" to 8". The price is certainly competitive and the construction suggests it should last a long time. Perhaps the only deficiency is that the pitch, or angle of the foot rest is not nearly as steep (or therefore quite as comfortable as other, more conventional and expensive foot rests). That is due to the simple design and construction, at the lowest level (~4" of height), the platform for the foot is actually parallel to the ground which feels a little awkward at first, if you are used to it be angled as the foot generally is when comfortably resting in an elevated object in front of you. As the height is adjusted, the platform gradually becomes angled to about 30 degrees (the max) at 8" above the floor. I suspect this is not a major issue for most guitarists, and I suspect I will get used to it without much effort (I have only had the foot rest for a few days at this point).

I like that its compact and folds flat and fits in my guitar bag. It’s solid and attractive. I’m glad I did settle for a cheaper metal one. They looked flimsy. This one is solid and adjustable.

I'm tired of those flimsy wired supports which I always keep bending. I'm a big guy and tend to put too much pressure on the support. Finally, I found a support that's built to be sturdy and looks great, too. The price is right. Don't know how the metal ones can keep up with this foot support. Glad I bought it. The red one is actually more of a red stain that looks beautiful.
