You never have to buy an arisol can again. You just have to pump it, maybe 12 times and it gives you the spray effect you need. If you under pump it, you'll get a liquid flow.One note of caution. I'm having to buy a new one because I lifted it up from the lid and it wasn't securely attached on there. (It DOES press shut, which I wondered if it would given there is pressure pushing it up, but) never lift it from the lid. Mine fell and hit the cement near my BBQ and sort of exploded a little because it had pressure in it. Glass and oil everywhere. So if you do drop it, jump away. I immediately bought a new one because it surprisingly works!

Overall this is a great unit.Pros: Easy to use, easy to fill, and easy to clean. Once filled pump the sprayer a couple of times to get a nice even spray. I use this almost every day.Cons: If the pressure is not exactly right the spray becomes a stream. It took me a while to figure out the exact pressure - which seems to change depending up on the specific brand of olive oil I use. If I use only a small amount of oil the pressure remains in the bottle and the lid won’t go on correctly. I have to push on the lid or wait for the pressure to release. Neither of these are big issues, just things I have noticed when using the sprayer.

I worried it might not work as well as the metal one but it works exactly the same. Super helpful to be able to see when I need to refill and I don't have to worry about added chemicals from store bought sprays w/ garbage ingredients. Much healthier way to cook using this. I used this almost daily and no regrets! I keep a napkin handy to tab the sprayer head of any excess oil after each use to prevent any clog build up which seems to be working.

We were very excited about this product as it would use air pressure to produce the same spray function as the one-time sprays in most stores. However, it stopped functioning 6 months in, and we were not able to fix it no matter what we tried. I am just returning it to Lifetime Brands in NJ, hoping for at least a replacement though I am not hopeful that the replacement would work for much longer.

I ignored some of the complaints about this product and bought it anyway. Easy come, easy go. It's well made, and it will work with vinegar, water, etc. but no way can the design support something as viscous as olive oil, which is what I thought I'd buy it for. There's just no way the tube that feeds the liquid from the reservoir to the mister can stay clear with olive oil in it--it is going to clog up, especially if you don't use it every day. I gave it 3 stars because if you want it to spray something else, it's attractive, easy to use, and well made. Just resist the desire to use it for olive oil, especially if you buy the good stuff.

I've had my Misto oil sprayer for more than a month. We use it every day. The fine spray mist ceased, but a very even nice stream of oil still came out and sprayed my foods etc. I followed the instructions for cleaning and it worked beautifully. You can also run forceful water into the bottom and top of white sprayer nozzle. You may need to use a toothbrush with a drop of soap in and around the nozzle. Oil is going to clog. It just is. You have to use soap to cut through the oil. I set it aside to dry out before adding oil and reassembling.

UPDATE: Do not buy this... I have bought 2 and both have broken. I thought the first break was me using it wrong or the oil, maybe a fluke thing. I loved it so much I bought another one. It works good for 2 months then slowly stops spraying all together. Don't buy it unless you love wasting your money.I truly love this thing - it works great and evenly distributes your oil wherever you spray it. I have had it for a few months now and unfortunately the sprayer is now spraying in one continuous line now. Not sure why I have tried opening it and seeing what's blocking it but nothing I see. I did re-purchase another one because I love the look and it did work great. Hopefully just a fluke thing because it does save on buying the nasty store bought ones that have chemicals, you know exactly what's in this when you load it with your choice of oil. Plus you don't have to throw away metal cans month after month so it's eco friendly.

I bought this so I could just use the oils I have at home to save a bit of money and not have to buy canned cooking oil sprays. So far, with canola oil, it works at advertised. I have to pump it a few times before each use, but it sprays the canola oil as a mist as you'd expect.It's definitely not as strong of a spray like a bottle of Pam, and you can't get a consistent mist if you're spraying it for like 10 seconds or longer without having to stop and pump it, but that's not a problem for my uses.

As described and will actually spray oil. Others I have tried just squirt the oil in a stream. Frosted glass allows you to see how much oil is left.

Lei que la version original no la hacen de muy buena calidad, asi que decidi ir por este de vidrio y que deja ver el aceite restante. Viene muy bien empaquetado, ni un rasguño. Lo lave y probe con agua... super bien. Al secarse le puse lo llene a la mitad de aceite de oliva y WOW se ve super elegante, parece un perfume hahah. Ya con aceite de oliva hay que pompear un poquito mas que con el agua para que el aceite salga pulverizado, si pompeas un poco menos sale como a chorro con gotas grandes, si pompeas mas ya sale en spray, cuestion de probar :) Este de vidrio seguro se puede quebrar si no eres cuidadoso, pero esta muy bien hecho, y aunque el original esta mucho mas barato (podria haber comprado 2 por el precio de este) se nota que el original si esta mas delicado, pero por el momento este me funciona a la perfeccion y estoy muy satisfecho con la compra. Por cierto ya lo probe para cocinar pescados a la plancha y super agusto. Es mucho mas facil medir el aceite y distribuirlo en spray que a chorro liquido como normalmente se hace. Me va servir para cocina papas de camote en el horno de conveccion con una sencilla roceada :)

it works as expected but during 3 season as in winter olive oil gets sedimention and bubbles.
