Fits great in my evo 9. I used a flex radiator hose with it to replace my upper pipe.

Bought this Radiator for a lancer evolution 5 GSR Drops in great but the factory fan shroud has to be tapped lightly with a hammer to seat fully also some Teflon tape on the drain plug does wonders to prevent dripping of coolant. EvoScan shows engine temps to be 2 degree F lower than the stock unit since my install(could be new coolant in system will update in a few months to confirm) those were the only quirks i found with this Factory fit radiatorAlso mine came with a regular bolt instead of the magnetic drain plug

Let me first start by saying I installed this in my 2005 Evolution 8, obviously not the car this was designed for but I'm not the first person to do it.Without taking price into account, I've seen better workmanship, however those are over twice as expensive and not readily available. For the money, Mishimoto radiators are hard to beat; they look and perform great! My install:The radiator fits in the lower rubber support mounts perfectly. The upper radiator brackets--not so much. I ended up having to visit Home Depot to make something work.I run a stock appearing turbo with a Muse o2 dump. I had to remove the o2 dump and down pipe to make enough room to get the radiator in. There is very little clearance between the radiator and the o2 dump (around 1/2 to 1/4 inch). Even with urethane front and cam side motor mounts, I'm a little paranoid about the dump hitting. I'll update this if that happens.Update: (April 2017) The radiator shows no sign of damage from the o2 dump.Since this radiator uses a different upper radiator hose location than the Evo 8 design, the Evo 8 upper radiator hose will not fit. You can buy Mishimoto's hose that was designed for an Evo 4, 5, or 6. Another option would be to purchase a 12" Gates flex hose from any number of auto parts store for about $15. The lower radiator hose is the same between the models. The stock Evolution 8 fan and shroud does not bolt up whatsoever. Most people will pick up a 12 or 13" aftermarket slim fan in place of the stock unit. I went with the "Spal 30102029" and couldn't be happier. I bought the Spal brackets instead of pushing mounting rods through the radiator. One last thing, if you have Air Conditioning, the condenser piping will hit the radiator. I had a couple inches of spare rubber hose and split it down one side with a razor. I wrapped the rubber hose around the AC line, held them them in place with a few black zipties. You could also bend the AC line but they are small aluminium pipes that bend easily. You don't want to break them and release freon in the atmosphere. Freon is very bad for the environment and because you own an evolution, you obviously have a great concern for the environment.(Update) I've learned a few things over the last 3 years:Dayco 76138 is a simple straight hose that looks much better than the Gates "ribbed style" hose. With enough length, it will flex just enough to fit and doesn't look mis-aligned at all.Gates makes an OEM replacement upper rubber hose for the Evo 4/5/6. Part # is 05-1847 -- Good luck finding one in the US.
