Good product, but cable too short and no extenders seem to make it work with backup camera.

Both our vehicles (2008 Tundra & 1993 F-250) are pre-tech, so aftermarket cameras are our only option. This dash camera is not even close to being state-of-the-art, and I obviously cannot speak to its durability, but it offers a lot of features for a very low price. The rearview mirror included is actually the screen for the cameras, which is both ingenious and a little problematic: I love that the dashcam images are right there, but the fact that I now have less mirror 'real estate' to utilise whilst driving makes me a little nervous. That said, it actually does not seem overtly unsafe--it just takes some getting used to.The included instructions were surprisingly comprehensive, and my husband had no issues getting the cameras and mirror set up and operational. It should be noted, however, that my husband is an advanced DIYer and has an auto mechanic background. This was expecially handy whilst trying to figure out all of the wires. So, so many wires.I especially love the rear view for backing up, as we are remote and live on forested acreage that can make backing in without a camera more exciting than is optimal. I also appreciate that it would lock in case of an accident, as the footage could prove to be invaluable. It's got a lot of features for the price and I do recommend it, but very much depending upon your needs and how savvy you are at installing somewhat outdated, wired-in tech.

Great peace of mind. My son is a young driver with an old car and this was something that was especially needed. It wasn't that bad of a set up. The old mirror had to be removed and replaced with this one. The adhesion was strong and kept the mirror on the window. Video quality is not an issue and its definitely a great value.

Rear View Mirror Dash Cam for Cars with additional Rear-Facing Camera and Free 32GB TF CardThe camera and it's accessories were well-packed and all parts were present and accounted for! This camera is built-in to a rear view mirror that replaces your car's rear view mirror by attaching to it with 2 little rubber straps. We have a 2018 Rav 4 and this system works well and is nice and solid with no vibration distorting the mirror while driving. The mirror itself is slightly fish-eye so you are still seeing everything you would normally see in your usual mirror, just in a slightly smaller space. We are in our 70s and pretty cautious drivers and we both felt comfortable with the driver's view in the mirror. It also has a little camera for the back of the car but we are not sure how to place this for the best view. We do not want to use the included screws to attach it to the body outside the car so we are thinking hook and loop sticky tape on the trim around the top of the rear window. Still playing with this. The instruction booklet is pretty clear and we had no problem setting it up and running thru the modes. The picture that the front cam is sending shows up on the right side of the mirror but it does not block any of our view and we soon learned to ignore it and just look at the mirror. There is a lot of wire to deal with but we are not making this a permanent set-up until we have a little more experience driving with it. We both love the idea of having a camera, tho, so if we can't make this work, we will have something simpler. There is no app to go with this cam and the whole thing feels like old tech with all the wires and having to plug it in to a power port. The booklet mentions an app but that it is an option, then says nothing about how to get it and I found nothing in google that would help. This one thing might make us decide to look for another camera. We have property cams and they were so easy to set up! The app was right there and running instantly and it's so nice to get alerts and see what's happening on our 2 acres right at our fingertips, so no app for this camera was a tad disappointing.Overall, it has been a good first experience with a dash cam and we have learned a lot!
