Updated lower review after changes. They changed the charging port from a micro-usb to a usb-c which fits much better and has no connection issues for charging. Great change, love it.However it's also Bluetooth now and the jack on it is only vestigial and does not connect. That means I can't use it to listen to older non-wireless devices, and the connectivity is not the best for listening to audiobooks. Whenever the narrator takes a pause after a paragraph, it fades out and then back in when sound starts again, meaning I miss the first word of every paragraph. (I tested, there was no problem when using the phone speakers themselves or using a wired speaker, it is specifically this bluetooth speaker.)Also, the new operating instructions are a bit confusing as written (operating instructions were in two separate sections and how to turn the speaker on was not included under the instructions for the power button), but easy to use once parsed. Long 3 second push to turn on/off, short single push to pause/play.Liked the charging port change, but the change to exclusively bluetooth makes it not good for my audiobooks.

This is advertised as a plug and play 3.5mm aux speaker. What comes in the mail is a Bluetooth speaker. I can’t figure out why it has a headphone jack. The instructions in the box are Bluetooth and I’ve plugged it into the headphone jack of several devices and it does not work. I even ordered a replacement thinking the first was defective. Same problem. Not a 3.5mm aux compatible device as advertised. It’s Bluetooth only. Ridiculous. Nowhere in the online description does it say it is a Bluetooth speaker.

Our library has audio books on file, but b you need your own headset. We use this so the family can listen to a book on tape together. Works well, even in the car with road noise, we put in in the middle console and we can all hear it. Battery lasts a long time before recharging, too

Volume is controlled by the output on your laptop, phone, interface, etc. I produce music and now use this as an alternate mix speaker. Small, clear sound, has a bit bass as well. On/Off switch, rechargeable, plugs directly into 3.5mm jack or you'll need an extension to position it. Mine hangs against a wall in my studio. Time will tell if it has a decent life span. Great for the $.

I picked up the speaker, thinking it would be the same volume as the speaker that I picked up earlier this year that’s an iidentical to it. It’s about us 1/3 the volume of the one I picked up a few months ago.

I was skeptical a tiny, affordable speaker like this one would be any good with my classic 160 GB iPod, but was instantly surprised when I connected it to the port and the sound was crisp and clear. My old speakers were having cord connection issues and would only play out of one speaker, but it ran off the iPod power without zapping it and didn't need to be recharged. These do, but can also play while connected to a USB port. Since my iPod was already using a 2 port plug in, it's been easy to keep them working in tandem. I haven't tried it away from the power to check their chargeability, but they are advertised as about the same amount of time as my old iPod will keep anyway. There is a power button on the other side, so you have to remember to turn it on (and off when not charging) to make them work. Minor, but something to get used to.For a device like mine that does not have Bluetooth capabilities, this little device is great to have when the world has moved past your device that still works and you just want to use it.
