It's his accurate as my pistol grip type of IR thermometers. Compact and easy to use.People are complaining it doesn't have a lighted display. If it did, it would run the batteries down pretty fast. So use it in daylight or turn on a light.

I’m using this for Fishing in measuring the water, temperature, it clips onto a zinger very easily, and is a very nice little gadget.

This item can't be safely used for themperature reading because has to touch or be against product. This is due to inaccuracy.

This isn't very accurate. It doesnt even read true to it's own readings when compared to two other thermometers so it's not even good for reference. Don't buy this unless its to check if somethings to hot or cold to touch. It's off by as much as ten degrees.

Works well and does what you should expect from a low cost non contact thermal measurement device. Very easy to use and accuracy is good for this type of device. It’s a good tool.

The accuracy of the temperature sensor is somewhat suspect. Multiple scans of items in rapid succession yielded varying temperatures +/- 3.0 Deg C. I wouldn't use it to take your own temperature. But still it is a great little thermometer for general purposes - and terrariums - which is what we are using it for.

I use this to check the temperature of the pavement before taking my dog for a run. It’s been very accurate for this temperature reading, probably because the emissivity of asphalt, cement, dirt are all around .93-.95Make sure to read up on IR thermometers to see if they will work for your intended application. IR won’t take a reading through glass for example.I’m very happy with this, it’s size and simplicity of use is perfect for taking on runs with my dog.
