I had a big Pine Tree that had to be cut down. That was the easy part! Decided to dig out the stump. Cutting the roots is a big problem because there is sometimes limited space to get a saw in, and a chainsaw will dull in a few seconds if the cutting chain contacts dirt/stones. The Milwaukee Hackzall can be held in ONE HAND, and has Blades available specifically for Pruning/Root removal. GREAT TOOL!

Needed something to cut a range of stuff. Cutting down old random pieces of junk so it would fit in the trash can. Cutting through some small roots that were in the way. Shortening some pieces of wood for random stuff.I'm incapable of getting real clean cuts on anything and I didn't expect it too but it hasn't let me down yet.

Easy to use as it is much lighter than my mil, sawzaw that has a electrical problem now.. when I get the sawzaw repaired i'ii have two similar tools, this tool does have a shorter stroke remember. the one who dies with the most tools WINS!! Ha

I purchased this as suggested by my son. I'm a 66 yr old female that likes to work in the yard. I was going to purchase a mini chainsaw but my son thought it was too dangerous for me. It is of great quality and my son probably has nearly every tool Milwaukee makes. It is light enough for me to use with one hand to prune and remove dead branches. I got some aggressive pruning saws and it is a breeze to cut through 2"+ trees and limbs. The batteries last for quite a while. I feel that it is a very good value for the money and wouldn't hesitate to suggest it to others. Happy Pruning!

I do not always need to versatility of a smaller hackzall but when I do this is the tool. Very easy to control in tight situations.

This is a great tool, small easy to fit into tight areas but most of all, I use it to lop small trees that keep growing around my shed, I broke it in cutting about 20 small trees 3-4" thick at ground level and worked a treat, this is what I mostly purchased it for and it does the job I needed it for. Happy with my purchase.

I purchased this primarily for pruning palm leaves (I live in FL) and trees on my property. I also used it for cutting out small tree stumps that were sticking up just above the soil. With the pruning blade I was able to cut into toots just below the surface. The Milwaukee pruning blades are tough and didn't break for get dull.The saw is designed for one hand use, but can be used with two hands when needed. It is powerful and does a great job.This is a great tool and I know I'll be able to use it with other blades for many projects around our home.

Wow! This saws-all reciprocating saw is amazing. I am using it for various projects. Most exciting was using this saw with a pruning blade. I was able to take down some small trees in a semi wooded backyard. It is very easy to use and not as heavy as other saws in the same league.
