THis item isn't as comfortable as I would like. It doesn't come with either a battery or a case, not even a packet to keep the blades organized.There is nothing exceptionally noteworthy regarding this device. It functions as it was designed to function. Hence, it does what it is supposed to do. It appears to be quite durably manufactured.It does include a minimal assortment of blades. However, the fact that it comes with no batteries, nor an accommodation case, are two salient considerations.It does tend to stall under high torque circumstances, (e.g. cutting through 1x12 lap siding that has 4" insulation batting behind it.)

I got this to use with a cheap clone of a DeWalt 20V Max battery, and so far, I like it.I can grip the handle with my right hand and trigger finger while supporting the saw with my left hand by holding the front section where the yellow plastic ends. It feels solid and comfortable to use this way.The LED light, positioned below the blade, is a bit dim but still functional since it directs light right where you're cutting. The saw runs smoothly and has plenty of power for the test cuts I performed. The trigger is easy to use and provides good control over the motor speed.I also really like how the blade chuck works. To insert the blade, you turn a spring-loaded ring on the chuck. When released, the blade locks firmly in place. I actually prefer this chuck over the one on my corded DeWalt saw. It has a paddle-type release mechanism, but inserted blades always feel a little floppy to me.This saw comes with three wood blades and one metal blade. The wood blade easily cut through my test piece of plywood as expected. I also tried cutting a couple of 1" x 1/8" aluminum pieces. While the saw handled it fine, the metal blade showed noticeable wear even though aluminum is a pretty soft metal. I don’t think the blade would last long cutting through anything much harder such as nails. If you plan to use this saw frequently, you'll need to invest in a set of high-quality blades.Overall, I think this is a pretty good saw. Get yourself a good battery and a nice set of blades and you're good to go.

The pluses for this saw are that it is lightweight and easy to use one-handed and is suitable for small jobs with soft wood. Attaching and removing the blade is easy. My DeWalt 20V DCB201 battery fits, but I do have to force it a little bit to attach and detach it.The negatives are that my DCB204 battery does not fit - it might if I force it on, or shave the track a little, but I'm not going to do either of those. My biggest complaint it is that it just doesn't cut well. I don't know if that due to the power level or the blade quality at this point, but I had to use a little more pressure on the tool than I like to in order to do a test cut on a piece of 1x2 trim. It would take quite a while to cut through a 2x4. While there are certainly situations where I would choose this over my full-size corded Porter Cable saw, I am somewhat disappointed in its performance.

The box this tool comes in says "brushless," but I don’t think that’s accurate. I can clearly see the motor sparking during use, and there’s a bit of an odd smell, which is typical of brushed motors. The product listing doesn’t mention it being brushless, so it seems like a labeling mistake. That said, it takes my DeWalt 20V battery without any issues and performs solidly for the price. Just be aware of the misleading packaging.

So far so good! Interesting configuration of the saw being bent at an upward angle. Not sure if it's better than a straight configuration or not but I guess the more I use it, the more I'll know. I did fit in a Dewalt 20v lithium ion battery, but it was very tight and I needed to smack the back to get it to fit. Taking it off was a bit difficult too - - you need to push the button on the battery with one hand and use your thumb to push against the back of the battery to get it to release. It is VERY tight. It doesn't slide on and off easily at all. After about 10 rounds is installing and uninstalling, the battery slid on and off much easier. I think the plastic slides just need to be sanded down a little through repeated use.When you pull the trigger, you can adjust the speed of the reciprocating motion. Pull the trigger all the way, and the blade moves faster. This helps you to get the cut started. It's also very lightweight and the handle is smaller for a woman's hand. Great little tool to add to my collection. 4 blades are included, but harbor freight blades also fit. Just turn the collar to release and switch out the blade. Love the light to illuminate my piece as well!
