An inexpensive blade. Very serviceable for the cost. This blade did an outstanding job of cutting Live Oak roots. Very easy to cut roots and was very durable.

Saw has plenty of power compared to what it’s replacing. Pretty smooth cutting with low vibration. I abused it for a week straight cutting railroad ties for a retaining wall. A lock button would have been helpful but I guess I missed that it the description. Wear gloves. This baby gets hot. Nice saw.

When you can't be bothered farting around with your weaker cordless recip saw, grab this. The only possible negative things I can say about it are:- I'm not a fan of the way you switch blades. Other saws do this far better.- If you need delicate accuracy, don't use this. This thing just powers through stuff like butter, but it also has a tendency to wander a bit in my experience when going full tilt.Besides that, the power difference between this and my (very good) cordless are night and day. This thing just leaves the cordless in the dust.

Pretty good saw for the budget. It really delivers on the “buzzkill” feature, this thing really doesn’t vibrate at all (besides obviously being a saw). That said, it’s VERY heavy. I found that it helps for controlling the saw and whatnot, it can’t jump around as much since it’s not as light. I was under a truck and didn’t have the room to use my arms to push, so the natural weight of the saw really bored through the pipe, which was helpful. It certainly did the job for my application, but if you need a saw that’s “wieldy” or working above your head for a while, I can’t recommend.

It's a good recip saw. Good power, easy to use and change blades. Comparable to its competition. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is bc the pictures look like the body is metal, like Skilsaw's worm drive saws, but it's just silver plastic.
Excelente rasuradora, gracias.

This SkilSaw SawzAll is truly a beast and very very powerful which is exactly what is needed for contractor and demolition work.My only complaint about this SawzAll is that brand new out of the box I used it to cut down some wooden deck stairs that were attached to my backyard deck and issue number one is that the trigger switch locked in place and I had to really work at pressing the trigger switch in order to get the SawzAll to stop which is a very serious safety issue because power tools must stop once the trigger switch is released.Issue number two is that the dial which controls the cutting speed of the of the SawzAll will not stay at the number when the number is dialed in.I called Skil and the customer service is excellent, the Skill customer service agent was extremely patient and paid close attention to my explanation of the issues that I am having with the SkilSaw SawzAll and assured me that my issues would be resolved.I have worked with contractors since I was sixteen years old doing carpentry, plumbing and renovations and I have always needed a good SawzAll.I am sixty two years old now going on sixty three years of age and I can tell you in all honesty that I know the difference between a good SawzAll and a great SawzAll and the SkilSaw SawzAll is most definitely a great SawzAll.I used to buy Milwaukee SawzAlls but Milwaukee seems to have disregarded the quality with which they used to manufacture the Milwaukee SawzAlls.I do not understand why Milwaukee does not take the same pride in manufacturing the Milwaukee Sawzalls because Milwaukee charges more then enough for their SawzAlls so I do not and will not ever buy Milwaukee SawzAlls ever again. If you need a heavy duty SawzAll then this is the Sawzall that you should buy because it is very well made and the SkilSaw SawzAll is truly heavy duty, the SkilSaw SawzAll is all business and no excuses.I cut through the nail embedded four by fours posts and the two by twelve inch stringers on the the old deck stairs that were attached to my backyard like if they were made of balsa wood. The deck stair wood was not rotted out, what happened is that who ever made the backyard deck and deck stairs failed to install a concrete slab/concrete footings for the deck stair posts to rest on and instead rested the deck stair posts on the bare soil which caused the deck stairs to start sagging and pulling apart as the soil under the deck stair posts settled over the years. If you fail to use the proper saw blades for the materials that you are cutting thinking to save money on the saw blades that's all on you and nothing to do with the quality and performance of this SkilSaw SawzAll.I used to own a Milwaukee Super SawzAll and from my own personal experience through the years of using SawzAlls this SkilSaw SawzAll beats the Milwaukee Super SawzAll both in price and performance.

This saw doesn't have features like and adjustable shoe or a rotating head or handle but for raw power, this will get the job done. It's a well built tool that feels good in the hands and the "buzzkill" really does reduce the vibration noticeably for a recip saw. For the price, it's hard to beat. Skil, if you're not going to give us features or blades, a bag for the tool would be really nice. That aside, it's a worthwhile addition to my tool collection.

Dear Skilsaw,THANK YOU!!But I have to ask, what took so long?!?!? I have a VERY old (40+ years old) Milwaukee recip saw with a 3/4" stroke that has been to heck and back. Have bought newer Milwaukee saws as well as other brands, but they "ALL" had too much vibration. EVERY - SINGLE - ONE of them!! For YEARS I've been looking for a decent replacement saw. So thank you Skilsaw, for making this old man's wish finally come true.To Potential Buyers: GET THIS! If you're looking for a low-vibration saw, this is it. It isn't the most aggressive, nor the most powerful, nor any number of other things. But it IS the lowest-vibration reciprocating saw I've ever had the pleasure to hold. My ONLY complaint is with the blade lock. On the last saw I got, you could open the tool-less blade lock and it would stay open, effectively allowing a one-handed blade change. With this saw, a one-handed blade change is still possible, but takes practice.Skilsaw has a big brother to this coming out soon, but I'm not interested. It'll be fine for demolition, I suppose, but I "build" things, so I need a --smooth-- saw. And at 13 amps, who really needs anything more? I've cut rear tractor tires (LARGE ones!) as well as steel, but not yet used it for wood. I have no doubt it'll perform flawless, but then I want a nice cut; not a 'rip job'.Updated JAN 2020:I've had my saw for about 1 1/2 years now. It is, hands down, the BEST reciprocating saw I've ever had the pleasure to use!! I've been tempted to try the slightly-more-powerful 15 amp model, but am too happy with this one. Besides, this saw does everything I need. Still have my older saw when I need to tear stuff up, but this one's a dream to use. Virtually zero vibration.I have to assume the 15 amp saw is just as good, and honestly I can't see how much difference those 2 amps would make, but the extra 2.3 pounds of the heavier model can certainly take its toll over a lot of use. So my advice is, don't discount this model if you're looking for a great tool.Again Skil, thank you for finally getting back in the tools game with such a winner as this!
