The 2237-20 handles 95 percent of general testing applications, excluding only the highest voltage and current ranges. Also, this heavy-duty True-RMS electrical current tester is rugged enough to handle tough jobsite, field, and plant conditions.
Rated CAT III 600V for safety, the 2237-20 provides features that are specifically tailored to the professional, including frequency measurement, resistance measurement to six kohms, tests for continuity and capacitance, and rugged over-molding for durability and all-day comfort.
In addition, this tool has a high-contrast, best-in-class, white-on-black display for easy reading, as well as a LED work light to enhance visibility in dark or enclosed spaces. What I like: Great selection of functions including Capacitance meter. Not all meters in this price range have capacitance. Additional nice features include AC voltage proximity indicator and LED light.What I would like to have in a meter of this $$ price is: A carrying case (really helps protect an expensive tool!) and a set of "clamp" test leads to augment the provided "point" test leads.I am really happy with this tool, a great reflection on Milwaukee's commitment to quality.

I purchased this meter because I had read good reviews about its performance...they were all correct. I originally purchased a Fluke 374. However the beeper for the continuity check was so low volume, I contacted Fluke tech serv. only to determine that this problem was typical for this particular model. So I returned it, and I chose to check out other meters. The beeper on the Miwaukee is loud and clear...however, there is a slight delay due to the meter calculating the resistance; but I can certainly work with it. Likewise, I love the high contrast backlit display.
