Well, it’s Milwaukee. It doesn’t disappoint especially at the price. I chose it because it has a manual on/off switch, which my previous tester didn’t. I don’t need anything fancy, just straight forward plus reliable.

If, like me, you're working in and around 12/24v systems... As well as domestic 240 and industrial 110. This has replaced my fluke equivalent. Built well as you'd expect. Handy torch, though not always necessary... It may have been nice to be able to switch that on and off... To save battery... But hey, I'm being fussy. It's not a big deal.Cracking bit of kit.

A little disappointed that the product I received was clearly previously used and opened (photo attached), but it works great and as intended. Either way I will be keeping it and overall happy with the product itself.

There’s lots of these on the market. After plenty of research I concluded cheaper ones CAN be unreliable, not what you want really!! Many people end up buying several to find a reliable one. This one shipped from the USA but was fully tracked and arrived in good time. One note of caution; it’s only an guide, any live near the tip will show a positive indication so if 2 or more conductors are near each other you may need to separate them or take an additional measurement with a second device. I advise you to take some practice measurements to learn its capabilities and limitations. This applies to all such devices.

I like that I can use it easily, but most of all, allows me to ensure that the power is off the circuit I am working on. The markings in my cabinet are crap and not well defined - makes things safer.

This is my review about the Fluke, referencing this Milwaukee voltage detector: “ This voltage detector works much better than my Milwaukee one. That’s on me. I read the reviews before I bought the Milwaukee one but decided for my purposes it would be fine. Turns out I was wrong. I don’t even think there was a significant difference in price. I’ve been so happy with my Dewalt to Milwaukee tool changeover and all my Milwaukee tools have exceeded my expectations to the point that I figured it would HAVE to be decent. Plus I know that a good deal of bad reviews are from people who don’t know what they’re doing. However, in this case they were right. The Milwaukee one does not live up to expectations. I am not an electrician, but I do low voltage electrical work in industrial automation applications. Low voltage being 24vdc. I truly do not care whether 24vdc applications are hot or not. However, in the same cabinet there may also be 440+ vac, which I do very much care about. I assess each job individually and find and mitigate risks as necessary and the Milwaukee voltage detector has failed me both by embarrassing me AND by placing me in harm’s way. I had to break out my meter which negated the whole purpose for carrying a voltage detector. I immediately tested this Fluke voltage detector when I received it and am MUCH happier with it, just/ even on residential outlets you can clearly see the difference.”

It work very well in many situation. I'm working in irrigation and this tool is very handy to detect 24 vac. It has 2 range. I love it!

Works great, my only complaint is the shirt clip isn’t tight enough so its constantly falling out of my shirt pocket, at least it bounces across the floor without breaking. Had to carry two of Flukes versions of these before, one for higher voltages I work on, one for lower voltages so its nice having to just carry one now, with the added bonus of the small LED light. Just remember, these are for testing the presence of voltage, not the absence of voltage. Don’t risk your life assuming a circuit is dead because one of these little testers not sensing voltages.
