  • Replacement part
  • Used to replace hose whip on Milton inflator gauge #506
  • 3/8-24 threads
  • Made in USA

This 15 inch heavy duty hose whip can be used to replace the old hose on the original dual head inflator gauge #506.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

If using a dual head type tire chuck with an inflator gauge and notice air is escaping through the off-side once connected to the tire’s Schrader valve, simply release the trigger and remove the inflator from the Schrader/tire valve. Point the straight side of the outlet up into the air (make sure it’s not pointed at someone). Squeeze trigger, allow air to flow (gravity will cause the sealing valve to drop), and place the chuck end onto the Schrader/tire valve while air is still flowing. Air will start to flow into the tire.

Dual head type tire chucks are unable to inflate a completely flat (zero air pressure) tire. Tire air pressure would normally cause the sealing valve to move and seal the unused side of the chuck. However, if a tire has 0 air pressure, the self-sealing valve has no pressure to react to.

So I bought this replacement part from Milton. Out of the box, it did not seal at all against the valve stem. I ended up returning it. Disappointed because I really want to get something that was made in the United States. I ended up having to get the Amflow tube instead.

I prefer the red hose. The back one tends to crack faster and I find it a cheaper quality.

Fittings were correct and it works however it was larger in diameter than the old one. I had to split the plastic holder on the valve body and glue the hose into place to make it work.

Mine leaked at the swivel, I thought I had to buy a whole new inflator but I found this and it was much cheaper. Fit perfect and doesn't leak.

Works great. I used to go through inflators all the time. I used a milton and will never need anything else. Durable. Made to last. Simple to repair especially if your a mechanic. Military uses this brand and I found mine in the trash because of corrosion. Resurfscing disc got it cleaned up. Some oil and a new hose and it has another 10 years of multiple daily use on it before I’ll need to do anything. All my other inflators/gauges lasted about a year at the most. Go with this brand and it will be the last one you will ever buy
