I just bought another m25 this year. They are the most comfortable stands I have ever used. (I bought some of those mesh lumbar support backrests on sale for $3.99 at Menard's and bungee them to the trees...so nice). As far as the chain goes I really like it. I hang these in pine trees as well as others and leave them out for months. They are very stable if you hang them correctly (you put the chain on while it is folded up, and when you unfold the platform it tensions the chain). Very quiet, does not squeak at all. Some guys complain about the chain making noise while hanging them. Seriously though, If you think a deer can't hear you while you are putting climbing sticks up and hanging a lock on stand with a ratchet strap, I have an ozone generator that I can sell you and they won't smell you even if the wind is blowing right at them! They must have listened to the reviews because the chain on the newest stand is about 4 1/2' long. For $88 shipped and with the included harness, climbing belt and awesome rope (which works great for hoisting it up the tree) there is no better deal for the high quality of the stand. A foam pad is comfortable...for about an hour or so. n

I just received my third Millenium M25 stand and am still amazed at the quality, simplicity, durability and overall value. It's a rock-solid stand when hung properly, with platform and seat sizes that are more than adequate for my 5'7", 180-pound body. If anything, the seat is a bit too deep, but it provides ample room for turning around to see what's rustling the leaves behind you. The footrest is a bonus I did not appreciate until sitting for several hours at a time. With the included SafeLink life line (~$30 when bought separately), this stand is a tremendous value. I cannot overstate the increased confidence of being safely tied in from the moment you step off the ground—especially when transitioning from stick ladder to stand. I have had one M25 hanging in a tree for two seasons now, and there is no degradation in the seat material or the ratchet strap so far.The stand is a bit heavy to hang, but if you use a linesman's belt and rig a hoist to hold the stand in place at the height you want, it's not a problem... even for this 53-year-old deer hunter. The chain is a tad short for large trees, so check it at the base of the trunk before trying to hang it at hunting height. The M25 has become my go-to setup because of its strength, silence, features, SafeLink line and overall value.

Overall solid ladder stand for the money. It takes 3 dudes to put it up but expected as heavy as it is. The seat is super comfortable definetly gonna be good for all day sits. I am eating 5 stars because out of the 20 different ladders we have purchased for the ranch this thing was the heaviest construction. However It could use a support rod from ladder to tree about 1/3 way up. I took one off an old broken ladder just made a solid ladder to climb and very quiet. Also if they had a lower bracket from base of platform to tree. It would be perfect. I used an upper from an old ladder connected platform and tree. It's rock solid and zero wiggle or movement. Note these things don't have to be done and it's a great solid ladder. But on our ranch we have some big boys so we like our ladders and platforms with zero wiggle. I will be purchasing more in the future. Good product worth the money.

For a ladder stand you are leaving up for a good amount of time, or private land hunting....this is very low profile to the tree, and you can get it super tight on the tree with the straps provided. This stand literally feels like it becomes one with the tree when fully tightened. Very secure. If you are more of a public land hunter and looking to take your stand down after every hunt, these probably are not for you. I have found these too noisy in the morning and after the night hunt with the metal buckles and metal ladder, and packing out super long distances isn't very ideal, especially while carrying a bow. So in conclusion, super sturdy and solid stand, but probably not the best for long distance hunts or public land where it is law (depending on your state) to take your stand down after your hunt.

Recently purchased 2 of these stands and I am very impressed. I don't know how they can sell these for such a low price. The build quality is great, the design is great and they even come with a lifeline that cost $30 if you buy it separately. Haven't hunted out of it yet but did try it out in the backyard. Very sturdy and quite comfortable. It will be a little awkward to handle 20ft up in a tree due to the weight but It's manageable. Plan on buying a couple more before Oct. 1st!!!
