I have a Rugged G1 GMRS 40w mobile radio installed in a 2024 Polaris Xpedition with an antenna mount on the rear of the cab. With this new midland antenna, I successfully transmitted to a repeater 33 miles away near Charlotte, NC and my buddy was able to hear my transmission another 6 miles from that repeater location. Couldn’t believe the performance this antenna provides. This was not at all successful when doing the same test with the factory antenna that came with the radio. Highly recommended.

This antenna went on my pickup truck for a GMRS radio I have in it. The antenna had great SWR after a very small trim.

I've tried many different antennas including the cheap $50 Midland Chinese knockoff available on Amazon but this is by far the best. My radio is a Motorola PM 400 with GMRS and repeater frequencies. I paired the antenna to a Tram 5-in magnet mount and was pleasantly surprised with a 1.01 SWR right out of the box. I am in the Norfolk, Hampton Roads Virginia area and am able to hit my repeater 15 mi away even in the densely populated area. Obviously not as discreet as the 6-inch Motorola quarter wave antenna, but it's 10 times better.

Genuinely very pleased with the antenna. I'm running an AnyTone 778UV VOX edition and I am very pleased with the antenna. Tossed it on the analyzer and I'm pretty happy with the results on HAM and GMRS. Now you have to remember that an antenna like this is never going to be perfect it's pretty darn good. I had a previous antenna, a TRAM 140MHz-170MHz + 430MHz-470MHz Dual Band and it's alright. However, when I switched to the Midand I noticed a pretty good difference. I have a pretty nice increase in range.The build quality is very good. I like that it has a spring at the base of the whip so you can tag a few trees and it's not going to bend the antenna. Anyway, I'm very pleased with the purchase and I will be upgrading my wife"s antenna to this as well. It came packaged in a rather large box for the size of the antenna but that is my gripe with Amazon, not the seller

I am always satisfied with Midland products. This antenna is mounted on a NMO lip mount at the rear of my hood on a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The SWR was great on arrival and did not need any adjustment. I added some conductive antenna grease to the screws and contact points to prevent weathering & rusting. My signal always booms from by Wouxun KG-1000G Plus. I always remove the antenna when going through the car wash and cover the NMO base with a cap. I sometimes move the antenna to a magnetic roof mount on the cab roof when I think I really need 360 degree coverage. I recommend this antenna.
