How to Connection
Plug "IN" into "OUT" Socket of MIDI Device.
Plug "OUT" into "IN" Socket of MIDI Device.
Connect USB Cable to USB Socket of Computer.

MIDI to Type-c cable for editing music on your computer
Keyboard (or MIDI device)
Connect the cable marked “OUT” to the MIDI “IN” socket of a MIDI keyboard (or MIDI device).
Plug the Type-c cable into any free USB Socket on your computer, the blue LED will Light to show power on.
Open music software program.
Set the music software programs MIDI IN/OUT device to USB-Audio-Device.
Your Type-c to MIDI interface is now ready for use.

Once I realized I have to plug the cable OUT to the midi IN and vice versa perfectly for me. I had just assumed they were labeled for which input. I used it for an older Yamaha digital piano that doesn’t have usb midi. Running on a Mac book pro it recognized it immediately. I reccomend.

Have tried other interfaces and for some reason they did not work. This one did 100%.LED lights shows you the connection status, to me important factor. To see the actual.data transfer. High value for the money spent.

I like it because it works on my older Yamaha Motif 7. I am sure it will work on more modern MIDI applications, but let's face it -- we all have some good old stuff that needs support, and this product does it.I RECOMMEND IT!

I use it to connect my digital piano to my Motorola Android phone's USB-C port for lessons on the Yousician app, and it works perfectly. It also works with my PC. One important detail: I need to plug the MIDI to USB converter into the phone first, then the piano. This signals the phone to output power to the converter to run it. If I plug into the piano first, the converter will not power up after plugging into the phone. Overall, I definitely recommend it!

Works with a Roland old piano and android for score reading practicing. Don't like that does not have separate light indicators. Seems decent quality. Time will tell.

I connected to keyboard and to laptop (also tried on phone and tablet), and it doesn't work. There is no lights, and laptop 6not recognize that the cable is connected.

I purchased this cable to connect an older electric piano that has the analog midi outputs on it to my Meta Quest 2 so I could use the PianoVision app. It works great, super easy. No issues at all with it.
