As a games console this is very good, and as a video player it is also very useful as my son watches a lot of you tube videos from gamers using this console. It's one drawback is the slow game download speed. I have a very good wireless network and fast fibre optic speed that average 80Mb/s but a game can take over 6 hours to download from Xbox live. In most cases it is better to buy the disk and then save it to the hard drive.

I've not ever felt compelled to write such a negative review for any of my many Amazon purchases over the years but the setup experience was a nightmare. To start, we didn't get what we ordered. We deliberately chose not to get the adult level games. This was a gift for our son. Then even though the plan was to play games strictly off line there was no way to avoid a 380GB update. This crashed twice before completing and the very manipulative MS interface was defaulting to adding monthly subscriptions and filling your email box with unwanted notices. No clear instructions on how to use the controller to provide keyboarded information. (Found assistance through YouTube video) Had to morph my Skype account into a Skype/Microsoft account. Then with this finally done, the hockey game itself had a lengthy update right out of the box and the controller too! Clearly Amazon must stock dated consoles on the shelf or the product is so poorly programmed up front it requires an absurd number of patches. Will have to use the complicated parental control interface to keep the Gold subscription from being in front of my child's face every time he plays a disc game. One might argue shouldn't have considered if not interested in online component. I say make that more clear on the packaging - Box states "internet compatability" not must use Internet to install. Would strongly NOT recommend for a family purchase.

I bought this back in July with some graduation money and loose change I'd saved up. Came in the original packaging with everything promised, works great almost a year later. I even bought a hard drive for it (don't buy one with the Xbox logo on it; too expensive when you can get a larger drive at a better price) and I haven't had issues with them connecting whatsoever. Only complaint here is my controller wasn't working so great, but I'd bought another anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. Works fine now.I bought it again at a slightly lower price for my brother in February, and while it coming with games wasn't advertised, the seller I chose this time sent Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Rare Replay in its original packaging. Ori and the Blind Forest came as well, but as a digital download. This Xbox came in its box as well, cords wrapped up and all, and works flawlessly, controller included.I got both consoles from two different sellers, and definitely not the one Amazon puts up in the search results. Recommend that you take a scroll through the list of other sellers; you're much more likely to get a better deal from there. Never spent more than $180 on either console. All in all though, the Xbox One is definitely a great catch at these prices. Highly recommended!

Despite the fluctuating OS (one year its poor, then its OK, then its poor again) [you would think the largest OS company in the world could at least nail a responsive bit of software] I really like this console for the price around 280 I got it for. Of course since the xbox one S has come out and frankly redefined what good value is in the console sector ! Next Gen games frequently available for 30-39 pounds and drop in price way faster than last gen games did. 4K is coming up - well I am sure all those with perfect eye sight will enjoy that but I personally will stick with my trusty xbox one.

My son just opened his new xbox one and he is excited! It was advertised as new, only opened to update, but there were scratches on the front of the console that looked to be more than just removing the unit to update. Everything else in the box was like new. The console works fine so far, and my son is happy. Good value for the money.

Il prodotto come al solito è arrivato nei tempi previsti. L'unica cosa che devo sottolineare è che in descrizione manca la dicitura UK , perciò il cavo di collegamento ha la spina inglese.

This was bought on a warehouse deal so keep that in mind. I got the Xbox in the mail with everything in tact, no holes or anything in the packaging. I opened the box and there was 1 controller, 1 xbox console and 1 power cord. I'm not sure if anything else normally comes with it but it was obviously used with minor scratches on the console and controller. Everything looked okay until it came to actually using it.. Which I couldn't do on account of the controller not working at all. Nothing worked after trying different ways to put batteries in, switching out for different pairs, plugging directly into the console, etc. Like I said earlier, this was a used console from a warehouse deal. Once I get a working controller I'm sure it'll be alright, but either way having a controller not work straight from the box totally sucked.

After having the Xbox 360 for around 7 years and enjoying thousands of good times & funny moments with my mates! At the moment I'm in that period where I'm learning how to use the console and get used to it after using a different console for so long. The main things I have noticed so far that are a bit of a negative FOR ME PERSONALLY is that the microphone provided with the Xbox is rather quiet and when playing games my TV has to be turned down quite a lot to hear any of my friends. The second thing is that music can't be ripped to the One like it could be on the 360, I checked it up online and it said on the Xbox website "not currently available" so hopefully this will be available at some point. Another problem was the updating, I bought GTA 5 to play and I had to install it to the console (it took 3 attempts as it kept staying on 88% and going no further) and an update for it, 10 months worth of updates for the game which took around 6 hours! I'm hoping it won't be like this for every game as it's a big inconvenience when you've just spent so much on a console and a game and you have to wait around for so long. Overall I'm really happy with the Xbox One, obviously it's still early days for the console so I'm not too fussed about the CD ripping or the quiet microphone, there is still time for those to improve (and for me to go and buy a new microphone). The only problem is the installing and the updates for games, they are too lengthy!!!!!!

The xbox one...I never thought I would get it. But when I heard of its performance, it's features, and the incredible gameplay it could offer I had to see it for myself. So far...its everything I heard about and more. The fact it has 1 TB of storage means no extra memory space has to be bought, and there isn't the hassle of knowing which game is in which memory bank. The brand new features offer great new ways to play games, at a high frame rate and quality as well. The only thing bad is that I can't play it all the time...I have a social life to maintain. This is a MUST have for console players, if they don't have next gen already.
