Easy to use. Easily run wires into the junction box cleanly and professionally.

Trailer connector works great. Needed to replace the one on my camper and bought this and it easy to figure out where each wire goes to because it had the same color wires as the old connector.

Received the harness and junction box timely and in good shape. An initial inspection... the harness/plug are beefy with good insulation, contacts are solid. The junction box mounting tabs worry me... plastic... I'd like to see a brass insert but we'll see how it holds up. I'm using this harness/box for a utility trailer, not an RV (which is the wiring configuration of this device) so the wire colors/pin colors don't match my vehicle/trailer. I appreciate the other reviewers who pointed this out and posted diagrams to aid other buyers.I’m wiring for a GM Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade 7-pin socket. In my configuration, I've added side-marker lights, reverse lights, a switched tongue-box light, and maintained the 4pin connector for my trailer so family can borrow it (their vehicles only have a 4pin connector). I diagrammed the wiring before I performed the install... maybe it'll help another buyer.Notes on my diagram:• Car Side socket is for 2007-2014 Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade• Junction box inner circles are the pin/wire colors of this device as shipped• The outer circles are the corresponding colors from the car side socketI've completed my install conforming to the diagram I've attached... all lights function properly.

Used on my rv and worked excellent! Liked the color coding on the wires in the box for easy hook up! Would buy again and a good price

The wiring color and location are most wrong in the trailer connector. Unfortunately my window of return has expired, don't buy this product its a waste of money.

Per the tittle, it works considering the price you pay. The wiring colors are off from how many trailers are wired up at the factory. That wasn't a huge deal once I figured out the right colors. What is annoying though is the screws that secure the wires to the box are very brittle. I broke one of them while tightening everything down which leaves me wondering how it's going to work in the long term.

Yes, there are two wiring standards for 7 wire flat spade plugs. One is for RV and the other is NOT. This is the version you are probably not expecting. I attached a picture of the two diagrams for your reference and it is wired the way the "RV" one is wired. However, all the RV's I have every wired/rewired/rebuilt are ALL wired to the "Traditional" standard of wire color scheme. The positions on the plugs are the same but the colors are VERY MUCH NOT. If you wire this in without paying close attention to your color coding, you will spend another hour moving stuff around in the box to correct it. Ask me how I know - never assume. With that said, the quality is good. They send pass through grommets for all the holes which many don't so that is a plus. Once I figured out the color issue, it has been just fine so I gave it 5 stars. I can't build a set like this for the price really so for the 4 or 5 sets a year I install for others... it is worth it.

So first thing I did was plug it into the truck and test with a 12v test light. First thing I noticed was the “standard” color codes that correspond to each circuit, wasn’t correct. Meaning, ground, left/right, stop, trailer brakes, and trailer lights were different. While I could have dealt with it, I chose not to, for ease of identification down the road. For those unfamiliar with trailer lights, yellow is driver’s side blinkers/ stop and green is passenger side, while brown is marker lights for both left and right. The new plug did not follow this pattern so a chose to cut off the factory plug and install a new plug. Like I said, my decision, not completely necessary. The quality of the wire seems good, the junction box seems sturdy and also includes a gasket for sealing out moisture. Various openings are available on the box for wire entry( 3 openings) and plugs to seal up the ones you don’t need.Keep in mind these are made in China. While it worked out for me, it’s a daily driven trailer and only some time and miles will prove it’s worth.

I bought this for my utility trailer. Had 4 way wiring with a 7 way adapter to fit my Range Rover plug. I wanted it to avoid having to use the adapter and make use of the reverse light connection as I added trailer reverse lights.Installation was fairly easy. I like the wiring box to avoid splices. The constant 12v connection doesn’t work but I believe that’s my rover’s issue. Wired my electric jack to the lights. The weird thing is that after upgrading, my turn signals hyper flashed. Maybe from the deletion of the adapter. Load resistors fixed the problem. The 8’ cable is very sturdy. Should become a little more flexible with use.The wiring box could use a rubber washer for each screw that attaches the lid, but I’ll get those. All in all, solid, sturdy, and worth the money.
