I got this microscope for my child, and it has been a fantastic little gadget for sparking curiosity. Itâs lightweight and easy to use, perfect for exploring the backyard or taking on nature walks. The built-in screen is a great featureâclear and bright, making it easy for kids to see details without needing a separate device. The adjustable lighting is also a plus, especially for indoor use. The fact that it stores photos directly on the device keeps things simple. Overall, a great educational toy that makes learning fun!

Fantastic toy zoom camera microscope that actually works, and has some great features to boot.First of all, full marks for having USB-C charging - so many of these don't.Then, the zoom camera actually works. My son claimed you would be able to see the Delta-O pattern embedded in his PS5 controller handles - a task impossible to the regular eye, or at least mine. Put it under this illuminated lens however and the pattern was clear to see!My 6 year old daughter has spent long sessions investigating everything, which is a great curiosity spark.Light weight in build it has stood up well to regular use over nearly 7 weeks, so I can absolutely recommend this unit.

This kidsâ microscope is less of a true microscope and more of a basic camera with a macro lens. Itâs built solidly, which is great for small hands, and it can definitely withstand some rough handling. However, the controls arenât very intuitive, requiring a bit of adult guidance at first. The menus can be a bit complicated, especially since some buttons have multiple functions.Once the initial learning curve is out of the way, kids as young as three can use it fairly independently, but its appeal probably tops out around age five. The magnification is simple and effective for basic exploration, but donât expect high-level detail. The built-in mini-games feel like an unnecessary gimmick rather than a useful addition.Overall, itâs a fun and durable introduction to magnification, but the value isnât the strongest. If it were priced lower, it would feel like a better deal for what it offers.

I predict this is the new "it" toy for kids. Or maybe your kid already has it, and I'm late to the game.My four kids are each equally obsessed with this thing. If your kids like to explore, they will be completely "WOW"'d with this toy. Shoot, I'm even impressed with its magnification abilities. My kids will be magnifying things all day long. "Mom, LOOOK!!!" And it honestly is crazy good at magnifying things. And it allows your kid to take pictures of whatever cool thing they're looking at.So far, we have a collection of zoomed in photos of: Nose hairs, eyelash line, carpet/knit fabrics (SO cool), worm bodies, flowers, leaves. My kids love it so much that I actually ordered them each one to keep with them. I don't know how yall came up with this toy, but it's actually really cool. The only thing I don't like (but I suspect most parents and kids will LOVE) is that it comes pre-programmed with some video games. Simple, but good pixelated games like snake, a rocket shooter game. I prefer my kids to not be staring at screens all day, so I would undo that part if I could, but if you're going on a long road trip or a 3 hour urgent care visit, this thing could save you a lot of safety. Kids absolutely love it.

Keep photos on device and scroll through or connect to a computer for larger viewing. has a couple of retro type games. You canât lower volume completely but does have 8 volume settings. Great tool for fun exploring of the tiny world around us.

I got this to be able to inspect the leaves of my outdoor plants when they start looking strange due to spider mites, which aren't visible to the naked eye. I'm keeping this in my figurative back pocket until I start seeing signs. In the meantime, I tested it out on various other surfaces, such as a small piece of an onion peel, and it worked quite well! The only thing I would want to change is the 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x magnifying scale displayed on the screen to be the actual scale (I think it's supposed to go up to 40x?).The device also has little puzzle games for kids built in, which I didn't know about when ordering. It would be a very cute gift for a child! By the way, don't forget to take the white plastic holder out of the box to get the charging cable and strap underneath. I found that my phone charger, which is also USB-C, won't work on this magnifier, so I need to use the included cable with my computer.

I like the overall design but wish the control buttons on the handle were better labeled. They have a faint white symbol on pink which is impossible to see. These buttons control the brightness of the LED lights and the zoom. Once set, they donât need adjusting for most similar flat objects. I got this for my 5 year old granddaughter. I have to help get it set but then sheâs ready to go. She is amazed at seeing the individual threads in fabric and the pixels in pictures. I like the extended rim around the magnifier that is set down on a surface for viewing. This holds the image stready and also keeps tiny ants and bugs contained for viewing. Iâm not a fan of the games. (really? games on a microscope?)The pictures can be viewed on a Windows or Mac computer without downloading software. On Windows, use the Camera option and on a Mac use Photobooth. HiView is software that can be downloaded but totally unnecessary and not worth the risk.We tried the Auto Power Off on 1 minute and 3 minutes. I thought it would turn off after not being used for the allotted time to keep from running the battery down, but it just turns the power off after the set time. Not a really helpful feature so I leave it off which is the default. It has a Type C interface for USB charging. This is a very educational toy that opens up a whole new microscopic world.

If youâre looking for a magnifying lens I wouldnât recommend this. Itâs a great novelty for kids and the games were really fun. I like that itâs rechargeable. But there are better options out there

My 3 year old loved this device. She is able to hold it to see things closely, such as skin and all different fabrics. She manage to put an an under and was really excited watching the ant moving around. My 5 year old son likes it too for the fact it has games in it. Because they do not have smart devices yet, the old-fashioned way of pressing buttons and classic games are good for our family.
