About this item

  • Electrical resistivity: 0.006 Ω·cm, Thermal conductivity: 1.3 W/(m·K).
  • Continuous service temperature range from -40 to 150°C (-67 to +302°F )
  • Working time of 4 hours, Heat is required for proper cure (2 hours at 65°C)
  • Two-part silver-filled epoxy adhesive with good conductivity and slower working time than MG Chemicals 8331. Bond electronic devices, form conductivity seals, and cold solder heat-sensitive materials
  • Easy 1:1 mix ratio. Stores and ships at room temperature, no freezing or dry ice required

This is a two-part, smooth, silver paste that cures to form a hard, durable polymer that is highly conductive, both electrically and thermally. It adheres strongly to metals, glass, and well to most plastics used in electronic assemblies. It has a convenient 1-to-1 ratio, and a long 4 hour working time. Heat is required for proper cure ( 2 hours at 65°C) The mixed adhesive essentially acts like a 1-part adhesive for 4 hours. Unlike 1-part adhesives, however, it does not require high curing temperatures or frozen storage, and it has a very long shelf life. Applications and uses: The 8331S is used as a solder replacement for bonding heat-sensitive electronic components and for making conductive bonds where solder is not an option, such as when bonding to glass, soft metals or plastics. It allows for quick cold soldering repairs of electronic devices, makes excellent thermal connections, provides excellent EMI/RFI shielding, and is very effective at filling in seams between metal plates. It is useful in applications where the high cure temperatures of 1 part epoxy systems can potentially damage components. Its primary applications are in assembly of electronic devices. It is used in the automobile, aerospace, marine, communication, instrumentation, and industrial control equipment industries, and is widely used by hobbyists and makers.

Fixed an expensive LiFePo4 battery that had a bad spot welded aluminum terminal. Tapped some small shallow holes in the top of the aluminum disc to give it something go look into, and epoxied the terminal back on. Holds like a weld.

I really wanted this product to work, but it never cured at room temperature. I had it setting for a week and it is just a big mess of paste.....don't know if I am doing something wrong but I don't think so...

Easy to work with. Made the electrical connection required. Sad I had to buy so much since I only used a drop of each; hope it stays fresh for the next repair '8^
