Overall great and worked perfect. Used a foam tape on the back as advised by another reviewer and it was super easy to install. Now I would highly advise you double check your speakers you buy. I bought some Polk db 601 I think, and the super popular and reviewed 6.5 inch kenwoods. Now the Polk audio speakers only have 4 mounting holes. I originally planned to have the polks upfront but ended up having to use the kenwoods since they have way more mounting holes. It worked out great on my 2000 Toyota Tacoma but be advised, make sure you have enough mounting holes as a regular 6.5 inch speaker wont mount unless you have extra mounting holes on it, or have a mounting bracket with it to go to this.

The bolt circle diameter of the adapter plate was a bit smaller than needed. Fortunately I was able to drill some small pilot holes in the pillars next to the adapter holes and made it work.

Only thing to note is that it did not fit a 6 1/2" speaker as specified. Luckily the replacement speakers came with adapter plates.

Fit was perfect. Just add a little foam seal around the edges to reduce vibrations.

Not even close for a 1999 Toyota Tacoma. Tried to install JBL G7s but product did not work and ended up having to get some custom made at a stereo shop. Waste of time!

I gave it 4 stars because I can see the product was well made but it does not fit the 01-04 double cabs or any tacoma that had a 6x8. Your door panels will not fit properly. I believe Metra needs to update their chart.Best to find 6x8 components or regular 6x8 speakers.

Bought these to go in a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. The fit chart on Amazon and the Metra website said they would fit. Removed the stock pieces and put one of these on. Had to drill a hole in the adaptor and the door to get a screw in the right side so it would fit tightly. Wired the new speaker and mounted it to the adaptor, but when I went to replace the door panel it would not go on because the adaptor placed the new speaker outside of the opening on the door panel.

Perfect fit. Worked perfect to replace the door speakers on my 2000 tacoma extra cab. Fit new 3 way 5 1/4 pioneer speakers perfect. I advise people to use a foam tape or butyl sealant around the edge to eliminate possible vibrations of plastic on metal that would occur otherwise. The stock units had this, and these do not. Easy 10 minute fix though.
