The metal showed up well packaged and a light coating of grease to prevent rusting. The grease was easily removed for cutting & welding the metal. Gauge was as advertised and this shaped and welded easily for a patch panel on a project vehicle.

I LOVE the look of the steel plates in my kitchen and they've done a great job freeing counter space by holding magnetized spice jars. But it's only been a couple of weeks and one of the panels is badly rusting. At first I thought the paprika had spilled because the rust actually is sprinkling onto the counter. But, no, I tried cleaning it off and it's in the steel. There's even a rusty smell. I haven't pulled all the jars off yet and figured out how hard it will be to remove the steel plates from the tiled walls. They're really on there with double tape. Pretty annoying.
