Review for M-D building products 1'x2' 22ga galvanized sheet metal. Product arrived ahead of expected delivery and well packaged, no damage (three sheets placed in a size applicable cardboard box, wrapped in bubble wrap). All edges deburred and accurate measurements as advertised, however the thickness of the sheet metal is advertised as 22ga but the sticker on the product describes 28ga sheet metal. I did not put a thickness gauge or mic the sheet but it feels a little thin to be 22ga steel. Worked fine for my particular project, but wanted to ensure others are aware of the thickness discrepancy.

Nice clean work surface fits perfectly onto my model train lab work bench for soldering projects. Would make an awesome front panel for mounting switches and gauges.

These (so far) are durable and can take a lot of weight. I used this to temporarily patch a hole in a house trailer floor where a desk chair is routinely used and the wheel wore through the floor. The chair wheel is on top of it during use (about where the hole was) and it hasn't caved like thinner metal sheets can do. The value for money is also pretty good with these as of October 20, 2021.

My order arrived 2 days after the delivery estimate, (ordered 4/12, shipped 4/14, del. est. 4/15, rec'd 4/17). The sheets arrived with minor curls on a couple corners of one sheet. These were easily peened out on an anvil, (leave the bubble wrap in place to cushion the hammer blows and preserve the surface finish), resulting in nice, flat sheets. The finish is even and the dimensions are accurate. The cutting is square. A thickness gauge confirms this stock as 22 ga. The value for this item is good since most steel sheet I saw offered here is galvanized, smaller, or thicker. Also, buying multiples of a single sheet is cheaper than buying multiple sheets as offered. I anticipate that this stock will make a good, sturdy mATX computer case after a little coaxing on a bending brake.

Well cut. No burrs. They come well packages so the chance of them getting damaged is reduced. Which is nice. A good workable size for body work on vehicles.

Used this to keep bats out of a corner of my house. Great product - very hard to cut but that’s because it’s very durable steel. You’ll have to punch pilot holes into it if you’re planning on hanging it somewhere. Packaging was great - no dents and the product was dead on straight.

I needed this gauge of steel to replace a section of cab flooring in my Army truck. The local hardware stores were supposed to stock it, but they never have it. This cost me two months of good weather to work on my truck. Annoying! Then, I somehow discovered that I could order it from Amazon! It was exactly the size and gauge I needed and the cost was half of what the hardware store would have charged. I'll be getting all of my sheet steel from Amazon in the future!

I have a 55 gallon drum that I converted to a large cooker. It has served me well over the years; but had developed rust, holes along the coal line at rear of the cooker. I bought two of these and lined the back of the cooker over the holes and attached with self tapping metal screws. This is the perfect gauge that is thick but bent to form the circular shape of the drum. Painted with high temp spray paint and you cannot even tell it is on there. Works perfectly!
