Do your research on where you would like to place this item before buying it.If you happen to not have any power tools, you will need a drill. You will also need a measuring tape, some way to find studs in your wall(use youtube or be sensible as a first timer and buy yourself a stud finder, please) and access to some kind of place where you can get wood cut for you to fit the size of most likely the space above your door frame and the cieling(B+Q is a good shout) and some decking screwsThe board itself is very good, I find myself using the jugs at the top and the holes in those jugs as I am not very good, but I'm getting better :)

I love this hangboard. It is a great option for smaller spaces or people on a budget. Metolius makes a few different options of the simulated rock texture and this is the smallest behind the Foundry and the Simulator 3D. I went for the smaller because my gym has pretty much every other hangboard and I just wanted something discreet for home workouts.Install was pretty straight forward. Metolius reccomends using a piece of 3/4" plywood mounted to at least 2 wall studs, and then mount the hangboard to the plywood using the provided deck screws. This allows for more even weight distribution and will prevent you from taking a decker onto your tile floor. DO NOT mount this into just drywall.A MUST HAVE for any of Metolius training boards is an app in the Play Store by TankT72. For this board it is called "Project Hangboard Training PRO". It pairs with this board abnd is probably the best hangboard app out there. It will show which holds to use and will do all the counting and rest intervals for you. It comes with about 20 workouts, but it is also fully customizable. It is a great app and only cost $1.49 at the time of this review.Sorry iPhone users, no apple app for it yet.

coming from the states, hang boards were way cheaper so I found them in Canada to be expensive as with this one. Small and strong though, send it !!

This thing is heavy, and definitely takes some strength to install correctly! You should put a sturdy piece of wood behind it, if you want it to hold up really well, and then install it to that piece of wood. If you do that, it's a great pull-up piece! There are tons of different grips with different finger arrangements. There are some super challenging ones, and then there are some easier ones that use your entire grip if you want! Overall, it definitely fit the bill - good pull-up piece, a bunch of different grips, and a pretty good price! Very study construction, as well. Overall, I would definitely recommend it!

I bought this as a gift for my wife so we can continue to train from home. The cost was comparable to my local shop, which didn’t have any at the time. So finding a quality board at a good cost was a plus. Only gave 4 stars for instal due to needing to buy, cut and paint plywood to help secure to the existing wall. But once installed it works great and even holds me up who weighs over 220 pounds.

Great product and all around what I was expecting. Material is made of similar material found at climbing gyms for hand holds. You'll need to add chalk to the holds you want to use tin increase your grip. Comes with screws needed to install and a great guide on common techniques for increasing strength and hand holds.

Everything about the product is great, other than the fact that i ordered a "blue/blue swirl" board which the picture shows as a blue board with darker blue swirls and received a white board with blue swirls. Looks a lot worse in my opinion, wish it was the other color, but other than the misleading color option, the board is fantastic, very sturdy, and affordable.

Has worked great! We rent so I even screwed it to a two by four and put 4 heavy duty hooks into the top of the two by four so that I can hang it onto a door frame mounted chin up bar. Works like a charm. *Make sure you know what you are doing or consult and expert if you dont, and also make sure the hoods and wood are rated to support your body weight and more!"

My son loves this board - he hung it in his room on a board that he attached to the studs in the wall. He hangs from it daily to build his strength - he teachers rock climbing this summer at scout camp and needs to be in shape. He is doing pull-ups and push-ups and using this to practice different holds and strengthen his grip.Easy to hang and it works great - not huge so it takes the space above the doorway inside his room so unless you are in there you would not see the board at all.
