Product fits and functions properly. I am a little concerned about replacing the plastic rod that breaks easily against a load with aluminum that may break other parts instead. Time will tell.

I had to replace the old plastic parts that function the footrest. I have no idea why La Z Boy made them out of weak ass brittle cheap plastic in the first place. Those parts raise and lower the foot rest so they take a lot of repeated stress while under load.It is much cheaper and stronger to replace them with aftermarket metal parts like these than get plastic replacements from LaZBoy that will just break again if they've already broken once.These parts are more than replacements, they are a significant upgrade.

Watched several utube videos , and was pretty sure this repair was beyond my ability. Flipped the chair over, found the broken part, ( shaft broken), replaced it, flipped the chair back upright, tested, and boom! Done deal. Less than 10 minutes. And the price was 2/3 less than the PLASTIC one listed on ebay.
