It really isn’t necessary to use this flashing if you cut your hole for pipe to the correct size. Should the hole be cut too large around the stove pipe with a large gap then a flashing will be needed to seal from leaks. This flashing however did work, it was very flimsy and the metal rims around the flashing cupped when screwing it down to a metal roof no matter how much effort is used to prevent it.When a hole for stove pipe is cut to the correct size it can be caulked with fire caulk and works just great without any flashing.Don’t expect this flashing to offer any support for the stove pipe like flashings for plumbing pipe or an electrical riser it doesn’t offer any support to steady the pipe above the roof line at all.

With some butyl tape under them, and screws set ever inch, they've worked out great with rains

Great product for price. Easy to install just used some Lexel around edges before I mounted it on a metal roof.

Did everything we needed! Added a bead of sealant underneath where you screw it down for added peace of mind and aerosol flex seal where the boot meets the pipe for extra redundancy.

Great quality. Had a larger base that was perfect to get a good seal on a metal roof. Used silicone caulk to give it an extra seal and for keeping it in place while installing screws. Tip: pre drill holes because self tapping screws will catch and pull up seal before actually catching.
