New to leatherwork so I may be wrong but I used these for a hatchet over swing sleeve. Got my grommets lined up just right and with some leather lace I tied it up nicely. The installation was easy. Line up both sides of the grommets and using the weight of the hammer with 2 blows, the grommet was done.

First the grommets are non ferrous / non magnetic so you can wash them. Mine came in 4 colors: polished silver, brushed silver, polished brass, brushed bronze. The hole punch did not work well using a block of soft wood. Instead I used a squeeze-type nail clipper to make small diamond-shaped holes in fabric and pushed the grommet shafts through. It's easy to make a hole too large this way - I added a piece of leather backing to fix one hole i made too large. I got great results with evenly compressed grommets.

I like having multiple colors of eyelets. Having the install tools is a plus. Some time the Crop-a-dile is a little hard to squeeze. I like having a choice to use the hand held tools when I need to.

I love this kit! I hate snaps bc I feel they are tedious. These are amazing and easy. They look great. I love the different colors. Gives you lots of options.

The grommets are a nice range of colors and the anvil works well for attaching them, but the cutter doesn't work at all. I even tried sharpening it like another reviewer suggested but it still didn't work. I ended up using my leather punch to make the holes. If you didn't have a leather punch, you would be stuck. That's why I'm only giving it three stars, because the set is useless without a way to cut the holes.

They may work well didn't try once I saw them way to big for my purposes. I will be more mindful of the sizes next time.

Love this little kit. I’m using it to insert grommets into my crochet “cowboy” hats I sell on Etsy. The kit has everything you need and simple instructions too in case you haven’t used grommets before. Finishing touches like this make my hats look professional.

Great grommet kit. Easy to use. The hole punch was a little tricky but I had to go through 2-3 layers of fabric. However it was very easy to put the grommet in place.
