Nice edger, very sturdy and a bit hard to manipulate but that is a plus because this edge marker will (hopefully) last a very long time in my yard.

I live on a mountain property with a variety of different slopes in my yard. There's some terracing done, but any big rain or snow melt causes erosion, leading to a variety of different solutions previous owners have installed, mostly rubber/plastic edging that is more intended for temporary use but just has served its purpose for a while. I've long wanted to both add more edging and replace the rubber/plastic edging. This is really the solution I've been looking for. Definitely more substantive and nicer looking. The 20ft segments aren't nearly enough for all my uses but it is a great length for sections, being just flexible enough to work with the terrain but really holding steady once installed. Looks professional.

This is very satisfying edging material. The top edge is finished, so it doesn't hurt your hands to work with. The material is flexible enough that it's easy to move about and order in the shape that you want. The height is sufficient that you can bury it a bit to help prevent weed or grass intrusion while still leaving a lip to allow for piling mulch or bark in the protected plant area. There's enough material in one order to provide a good-sized ring for a new fruiting tree, which is my usage.

Nice and tall at 8in. Leaves options to bury deep or have containment.Finish is very attractive if you like the rusty look. It's more colorful than typical steel rust.I didn't read the description carefully or understand what COR-TEN steel was. I was expecting a finish with a rust appearance but the metal is actually rusted with no coating to it. You will get rust dust on things when handling. However, after looking up COR-TEN it is an actual type of steel that is meant to patina with rust. It's more colorful than regular steel and is supposed to provide a more protective layer than standard steel rust.I'm a bit dubious about the longevity of the part of the edging that will be underground, in constant contact with dirt but willing to give it a chance.I think for this finish type they should have explained it a bit more so you understand what you're getting. Would order again but at thirty dollars it is fairly pricey even compared to a nicer composite which is my preference.Recommended - 4.2 stars

Last year I had a mess of moles that tunneled all over my front and side yards - turning up the soil and loosening it. They tunneled through my flower beds and all along the concrete walk way going to my front door. EEEEEE. Well, all that loosened soil became mud during the summer and fall heavy rains and all that mud oozed onto the walkway. I found out the hard way that a 1/2" of mud on concrete is very slippery. Before someone gets seriously hurt, I figured I need to stop the ooze. This 6 inch metal border is just right. Took me a while to dig the trench with a shovel and then repurposing a baking tool from my kitchen I made that trench as straight as I could. Borrowed a rubber mallet from a neighbor, found a board and got the border in.Just my luck that I seriously miscalculated how much I needed. I needed 40 ft. 20 feet in my head seemed like it would be plenty. Rats. So, I am ordering another 20 ft to finish and I pray it comes before our next rain or I will be digging out again.I am pleased with this. Glad it has smooth ends so I didn't cut my hands. It is easy enough to bend. The soil was really wet from rains 2 days ago so it was easy enough to hammer in.From my photos you can see my border and the part that hasn't been done yet.I will add that "you don't need a man to fix it"....I am a senior female and I did this on my own. I am right proud of myself.

I like the rustic look. It is reddish orange and would look nice with a shabby chic farmhouse sort of look, or old fashioned look. I like it because it is a different color than my other ones and makes each section of edging different and unique. I have red brick and a red shed, so this goes with the colors. I also have black edging and silver edging, and it is modern farmhouse. I do suggest opening it outside since there is some of the coloring in the packaging and would be a small mess inside but not an issue outside. It is very tall. I'm using it to (hopefully) help guide rain water away from my house so that it drains off to the side yard instead of flowing directly to my house, while also sectioning off parts of the yard for a garden and walking paths. With the metal directing water one way and additional plants to help with drainage, I think it will make a difference...If it doesn't work for the water, it still looks nice, sections off paths and garden space, and takes my taste of the woods yard and turns it into a woodsy garden scape! It is easy to install. I took a shovel and dropped it into the ground with the front facing me and brought it up and towards me to get a a couple inches deep and keep it fairly narrow. Once I had a length of it done, I put some in and backfilled it with my hands, some in the back (since the shovel isn't a perfect) and some in the front to make sure it stood straight up and down and in the line. I measured out the path starting at a spot against a tree (or whatever is hardscaped in your yard like a shed) and made sure that it was going along at a consistent width and stayed straight. It was a lot easier than I would have thought! I don't currently have good grass since it's shady under trees that drop nuts, so it is pretty easy to dig, just had to break a tree root or two. The metal is bendable and can follow any sort of curve you put it to. I bent it back on itself a few times at the end to make it stop curling. It's good quality and very tall even after it's buried.
