These look awesome and seem well made. I have not been fishing lately, so no opportunity to use but expecting good results.

Used it today for the first time. Nice and light and did the job very well. No fish blood on my floor.

Good for fishing bass in the lake. I catch 10 small ones for every keeper, so I get my thumb worn out from grabbing the fish. This is also better than the net, because the hook doesn't get tangled. I haven't got a chance to test it on a keeper, but I'm getting there.

I like the ease of using it one handed. Seems very stout and works well. Got it yesterday and it was my excuse to go fishing today (not that I need one). Handled multiple saltwater species with ease. Can't yet attest to longevity but I always rinse my gear off in fresh water and can't see how it will be a problem. Maybe a little lube in there if it becomes necessary but it looks good now. I don't know why people were having problems with fish coming off. I didn't have that problem at all. Maybe some soft mouthed fish like ladyfish, but nothing like redfish, blues, trout, sailcats, or anything else I usually catch.

Used it for icefishing western Canada. Was awesome and worked good up to a 10.46 lb. (scaled) Northern Pike. I would definitely recommend this product as it worked perfect all day starting off -18 degrees Celsius.

The Pristis fish lip gripper is well-built in textured aluminum and polycarbonate. The jaws open wide (around 2.5-inches) and out of the way when the finger trigger is pulled. As for grip strength, I cannot verify the 90-lb+ advertised rating, but can tell you that I could not get the jaws to budge before my fingers began hurting. My only issue is the possibility of slipping in one's hand with a struggling fish attached. To address this, I have added waterproof grip shrink tubing over the handle area. Otherwise, the Pristis fish lip gripper is a nice addition to my tackle bag.

This is an awesome fish holder. We’ll built and very strong. It will have no problem holding fish and preventing injury to the fish or fisherman. Only issue I have is that it is a little smaller than I expected. On a bigger stronger fish it may prove to be a little underpowered. I like it. A good purchase. Now so just have to look for a bigger model.

I must have had 15 fish come off of this. As soon as they shake they pop off. I need one that is reliable, one i can trust when fishing off a jetty. The last one came off fell into the rocks and I got soaked trying to retrieve the fish.

This thing came in handy when a huge snapping turtle took my bait while fishing. Unfortunately he was hooked pretty good in the mouth, so I pulled him out and used this pincher to hold his mouth open while I grabbed some pliers to take the hook out. Life saver. Never thought I would’ve had to use it for that but thankful I had the right tools to take the hook out safely.
