Oh and price is much more affordable.

Great toy for beginners of all ages. I love how easy this is to use and get started with. I don't have any experience with these other than shopping for them and finding that many of them do not find rings. This detector has simple easy to read tabs with pictures, You can easily narrow down what you want to look for or increase the spectrum to find any metals. It goes really deep too, like almost a foot. The only problem I am having with it is that the base needs to stay level with the ground. I may have tightened something too tight? But I am finding myself in odd uncomfortable positions to keep it level with the ground. It should be on a weighted swivel to stay parallel to the ground. This may be user error and I will need to find a way to move it that works better for me. Like I said I am still learning. I am really impressed with the power, usefulness, and easiness of this product. It would make a great gift for anybody who loves the outdoors.

I don’t have high dollar metal detectors. I run two different simplex plus detectors. This is a great unit to give to a friend to accompanying you when metal detecting or even a child. I buried several coins in a row years ago that I used to calibrate and verify my settings. The response times on this machine is a little slower than my simplex but it was able to distinguish the coins and most importantly and identified silver which it told me audibly and visibly on the display. That alone is impressive and it earns five stars because that feature alone told me me I could use it in the field.

Although I'm still learning how to use this thing, it seems very functional and well-made. Instructions are very good, so you can use the metal detector nearly right out of the box. There are a multitude of settings to help you identify items as they're being detected. The sensitivity is as described.I've found it would be helpful for the entire unit to be waterproof, although I realize it's a lot to ask at this price point. The included features and accessories are more than enough for beginner to intermediate users. The device breaks down easily to put into the included travel bag for transporting or storing.This is really a great device for the price and is a nice alternative for those who want to step into metal detecting without spending a fortune. You get everything you need in the package. I'd recommend.

This is one of the best metal detectors for the price that I have seen offered. It is so well made and has 5 modes. It has an updated chip and detects a lot more metals. I can even specify which metal I don't want it to look for. The handle is adjustable and there is a shovel included . It comes with a pack to carry it and the directions seem very clear. The detector is made to snap or screw together, so no tools. The display is a great size and the buttons are clear and easy to see. Two batteries are included with the detector and the direction say that it can be used on sand and in meadows or even wet areas. I can't try it out yet because I have a foot of snow outside but as soon as that goes I will be outside . I go to the beach every year on vacation so this will definitely go with me. I love the fact that the detector can tell you how far down something is before you start digging. This detector is all I will need to find hidden metals in lots of areas and conditions.
