I've been in search of poop scoopers that don't break around the head and this is extremely sturdy. Also, I like the fact that it stands upright so I don't have to lean it against a wall after I'm done picking up my dog's business...

I had surgery that meant I couldn’t bend over to clean the litter box for a few weeks so I got this long handle scooper to make sure I could clean the litter box when my help went home. This worked well and got the job done. Only reason that it wasn’t 5 stars is that the tines are a little too far apart so it is hard to get smaller pieces of poop. But it was a minor problem and it helped me during my recovery to still take care of stuff at home.

I really like the scoop section, as it sifts very quickly and is large. However, the aluminum handle is very weak and bent significantly after its first use. Will be asking for a refund.

Con: I clean out the litter box 3 times a day because I hate any odor of my cat’s waste in my apartment.I’m always home so it’s easy for me to address the issue immediately after my cat uses the litter box. The amount of waste is very small and therefore very light in weight.. But, the plastic piece that connected the handle to the scoop wasn’t durable enough to withstand even the smallest weight of my cat’s litter.Pro: the scooper itself is made of metal and along with the metal expandable rod is very light and durable. I love that I don’t have to bend over to scoop out the waste. However, the plastic connectors are cheap and broke soon after the purchase.I’m elderly with back problems so I don’t have the back strength that would be required to soop out any buildup of cat waste, which is why I scoop after every use. The ease of use and durability of this product is very important to me.I’m very disappointed that it broke after 1 week of use!!

I bought this for my elderly mother. She has a cat and has trouble squatting or bending down to clean the litter pan. This long-handled litter scoop allows her to scoop the litter while standing. The length can be adjusted, it’s metal and seems to be fairly sturdy. It comes with a holder that keeps it standing up so she can just tuck it right in behind the litter box between uses. I think this will make a world of difference in her being able to care for her cat.

I ordered this for an application that it probably wasn't meant to do so I returned it. It looks like it'd do a very good job if you use it for the application it was designed for.
