Bought this instead of a polishing machine - good decision. After polishing, I now have a great right angle drill.

Had my older Hitachi unit for over twenty years, and still no problem, and I have used on many hard jobs.I hope this new drill, works as well.Purchased a cheap aftermarket chuck makes it easier to load drill bits.

Decent tool but awkward & beware, your fingers tend to migrate beneath the chuck especially during bit changes. This results in the chuck biting into the affected digit upon rotation and it's extremely painful. Expected more from Metabo.

They make a bigger hole hawg now so if you're looking for that sort of thing buy it.This is a smaller drill for piloting small wood screws and such but it'll run a wood bit and so on.The power is fine. It actually does a really good job wherever I've needed it.Super handy to have if you already have HPT or Hitachi/Hikoki tools.

This right angle drill by Metabo HPT is a great option with plenty of power and won’t break the bank. The drill comes with a belt clip and an auxiliary handle that can be placed on the left or right side of the drill. The drill itself has a keyless chuck and is sturdy. The drill produces a decent amount of power to allow to fasten any screw or drill most hole sizes. Overall a quality option plus Metabo HPT often runs a free battery program with purchase of a tool and includes this drill in that program.

Bought this to accompany my buddy’s Milwaukee hole hawg I borrowed while wiring my new house I’m building. It came in handy getting in some of the tighter spaces. I used it for drilling a lot of the overhead joists so I didn’t have to lug that heavy corded MW Hole Hawg up and down a ladder. Used it with a 7/8” Irwin speedbor bit & a bit extension. It definitely can’t do the “heavy lifting” type drilling that a MW hole hawg can do but it’s much more powerful that my 18V cordless Metabo/Hitachi drill. Wish it was brushless though. Got that motor smoking a few times drilling through some triple ply lvls in my garage (yes I followed the mfg specs on where to drill…). Worked great for drilling ALL the 1/2” holes for low voltage. I used one of my 18/36V 8AH big batteries and I think I swapped/recharged the battery twice in the process of wiring my 3800 SF house.Complaints: the automatic shutoff when it bogs is kinda annoying so you have to drill in “bursts”. I get why but still annoying…It gets HOT so take breaks every so often and let it cool.Again, wish it was brushless…

Good drill, solid enough for professional use. Not brushless, but plenty of power for drilling in tight spaces.I predominantly use makita cordless tools, but own two hitachi cordless finish nailers so already have the batteries. Price was substantially lower than comparable makita tool, and performance has been excellent. This tool doesn’t see heavy use, but I’m glad I have it.

Lots of power. I bought this as much for my wife as I did a right-angle drill. She always complains that drills are too heavy for her. So I was kind of surprised how heavy this drill is. I just assumed it was smaller and lighter than it actually is.That’s not a problem, really. The drill works great.
