Available as a tool body only, this nibbler is compatible with all Metabo HPT 18V lithium ion slide batteries (sold separately). It cuts and pocket cuts mild steel plate, aluminum plate, stainless steel plate and corrugate with speed. It's manufactured with a convenient 180 degree, 3-stop die holder that allows for easy changes in cutting direction- straight, right or left. Even if you have a single project working where you use tin shears, this is the way to go. You will not waste materials; it will give you a clean cut from soffits to wall-coating steel panels in your garage; we love this. I only wish they were lighter, but that weight really makes a difference in performance, and the weight gives you a much better cut vs the lighter-weight, more affordable units sold by competitors. I am delighted with this product and have over 49 years of woodworking/construction experience.

Easy to use, cuts metal panels in all directions with ease. If your cutting metal R panels or any metal I would highly recommend getting these cutters.Make your project so much easier.

Takes a bit of use to figure it out, so,practice on a fee scapes then you'll be an expert. Also the tip is adjustable for 4 positions to cut.

Building a new post frame garage and cutting the ribbed steel by hand was not a very pleasant experience. I searched online for a few different items to help facilitate the ease of cutting the ribbed steel. Stumbled upon a few different video's, many of which they were using a similar tool. So after several different options I was looking at, came across the Metabo/Hitachi nibbler. Shipping was fairly quick the tool actually made it to me before the missing steel did. The instructions are fairly clear on the operation, however you really just have to get the tool in your hand and just use it. It takes a bit to get use to as it is not like a straight line cutting tool. As with any thing else the more that you use the tool the better that you are in controlling it. The cuts are very clean, the only down side that I have seen is that it really likes to make a mess with the nibblets. It cuts little half moon shapes consistently, would not advise wearing shoes so as not to get the little pieces of steel in digging into your foot. Overall good little tool. Fast shipping from Amazon. We will see how well it hold up to the use
