Designed with two measurement ways, Non-contact laser for surface temperature from -40°F to 2192°F (-40°C to 1200°C), and K-probe contact for internal temperature, liquids or contact surface temperatures from 14°F to 932°F (-10°C to 500°C)

Auto Power-off Function
The high temp thermometer will turn off automatically if there is no operation in 35s, and comes with a backlit color screen for clear readings.

Not an accurate device but this is to be expected at the price pointMissed the boiling point of water by 4F ( 100 ft above sea level)Instructions are terrible. I wish foreign manufacturers would pay a native speaker a few hundred bucks to review grammar, usage and logic.According to the instructions there is a 50:1 ratio between target distance and sensor area. The drawing shown in the instructions makes no sense. This nonsense was repeated by printing it on the side of the device.

I bought this because I wanted to find out where the cold air was coming from around my doors and windows. It worked great! Very easy to use. You can set the temperature range to alert you. ( I just set mine to less than the temperature in my house and used the laser to point around the doors and windows) it beeps at me when it was lower.I think it was a good investment and I would buy it again.

Mostly used to test new diesel heater outlets, joints, tubes temperatures, Mostly looking for where the highest temps are, where more insulation might be needed and of course any apparent leaks or misconnections. Laser circle lets you know how close of far u need to be to target surface to get a consistent reading, tighter the better of course. Did not make any radiance/emission surface type adjustments but u can. Also tested other surfaces around the room and house, tested my electric heater and foot warmer pad max surface temps and that was cool to see. Sud go out to freezer and test that!
