We're dealing with 14 foot ceilings but this was easy to use and made it easy to find out where the heat and cooling was coming from and where it was going to. We quickly found that one wall in our new house had almost no insulation in it and was causing all of the rooms on that side of the house to be excessively hot in the summer. Every household should have one of these. It's as basic as a thermometer but lets you check the temperatures of ceilings, walls, air vents and other things without having to use a ladder!

Wanted to wait a while before I wrote a review on this little heat detector gun, it's really a fantastic little gun! I have a 1929 Packard and I use it to check underhood and brake drum temps pretty often. Using the temp gauge on the dash and the radiator as a guide, this thing has been within a couple of degrees, plus or minus, dead on what the temp gauge on the dash is saying, so it's pretty darned accurate. Bang for buck, this is a great addition to the tool chest. HIGHLY recommend this one.

I have three of these. Prior to the pandemic, I had bought them as gifts for friend, and family. I use in on my cooking show Frugal Spoon to check the temperature of aging meat, the temperature of the grill, stove, oven, and refrigerator. On Frugal Range I use it check temperature of my snapping turtle, and his habitat. It measures body, and room temperature well. It maybe 90 degrees in your garage, but you point the laser into the attic, and it shows 110. Too hot to work up there today.Use it to walk around your house or apartment to find drafts. I used this a lot when it got hot in our apartment in California. Now I use it our house in Midwest.

This is a great tool to see how hot your cooking surfaces are, like grills and cast iron pots and pans. I am a chef and I totally wish I bought this earlier. I wish it was made in the USA and a little more robust.

Wow I’m impressed, “big time “ . I don’t know how I lived without this “handy gadget”. I purchased this item to check griddle and grill cooking temps for my outdoor cooking hobby. The minute I opened this item, I found tons of uses around the house, from AC monitoring to checking surface temps on my plants in the greenhouse area on my porch. It is so handy, I just keep finding new convenient uses for this tool. Confirming temperatures of appliances like the freezer and fridge , to controlling surface temps for cooking. I’m sure this convenient and inexpensive tool will improve the quality of my meals and make me a overall better “backyard cook”. I knew these tools were out there in the pro techs tool kit but how no idea how inexpensive they could be purchased for. Thanks for something very useful, at an affordable price. I feel like buying another one “just because” it was such a good experience.

I gave this 5 stars across the board. However hard to gauge accuracy without comparing to an industrial one. I got it to measure brushless motors. Ive tested it on various surfaces and it seems accurate according to what I see on my screen. The gun feels nice and solid. Plastics dont feel cheap. The laser feature is cool and admittedly fun. The backlit display is a nicectouch and needed. I appreciate the auto off feature too to keep batteries healthy. The gun I was looking at first was almost $300 but for this price and what I get, I am happy.

Funciona perfectamente, quiza los que no saben leer son los que dicen que no funciona, es el segundo que compro, el anterior que compre fue hace unos 3 años y aun sirve, NO ES PARA USO EN HUMANOS, por si no saben leer estan las imagenes de la publicación, por eso no les funicona probablemente y/o no saben usarlo correctamente, me marca las mismas cantidades que mi viejo termometro de la misma marca, y aun asi quiero decirle al sujeto que mi temperatura esta entre 30 y 31 grados la tome luego a mi papá y le tomo a 35 grados y un poco mas, (en ambos termometros el nuevo y el viejo de la misma marca). Si no saben usarlo bien pido no empapar al buen producto en malos comentarios, se que estamos en contingencia, pero no hay que caer en la ignorancia. 100% recomendado.NOTA: Cuando lo compren fijense quien es el vendedor, muchas veces estan particulares vendiendo productos y por eso los ven inflados o salen defectuosos y es cuando no regresan el dinero si hay problemas o demas, yo trato siempre de adquirirlo bajo la membresia de prime ( un poco mas seguridad en cuando a cambios rembolsos y demas incluso hay publicaciones marcadas con; TRANSACCIÓN SEGURA). Éxito amigos invito a checar siempre reputaciones del vendedor, no siempre es amazon México o amazon USA.

No funcione tengo que regresar.La temperatura no se mueve más que 30 grados. Sabemos que la temperatura de los humanos oscila entre 36... y 37... grados.

Accurate, easy to use, easy to change battery (it DOES come with one). Pressing a button turns the laser off/on in case you don't want to have it on. Turns off automatically & turns on by clicking the trigger once. I purchased to use when making candles & wax tarts. Keep in mind it only captures the SURFACE temperature.UPDATE: I've had this for 5 yrs, I use it about twice a week & I've never had to change the batteries. It still works perfectly, I love it! There have turned out to be quite a few more occasions where I needed to check a temperature of things other than food. Highly recommend.
