About this item

  • FDA compliant plastic 5 gallon lid with spout perfect for a 5 gallon bucket used to pour paint.
  • Compatible with Home Depot 5 gallon bucket and Lowe’s 5 gallon bucket, as well as almost all manufacturer buckets from 3.5 to 7 gallons.
  • Plastic lid constructed of HDPE (high density polyethylene), with a styrene butadiene rubber gasket. The Rieke pouring spout attached to the lid is perfect as a 5 gallon paint spout.
  • Slotted to provide tamper evidence with a gasket to provide secure transport of liquids.
  • Installation tip: rubber mallet MUST be used to secure lid to bucket. Standard carpentry hammers will NOT work. Work your way around the lid with a rubber mallet at least 2 or 3 times to get a tight seal.

This plastic HDPE 5 gallon lid with spout will fit most buckets between 3.5 to 7 gallons, including those from big box stores. A rubber mallet (not a standard carpentry hammer) MUST be used for the lid to attach properly to a pail. The lids are slotted to provide tamper evidence as some of the areas below the slots around the rim will have to be broken or cut to remove the lid. The covers can be reused, but the tamper evidence lid will show that it has been taken off. - Pull up pour spout for 5 gallon paint bucket has a 38 mm thread. - Also compatible with Letica and Uline pails.

Pretty expensive for what they are, but worked well. If I wasn’t in dire need, I would order something else and wait for shipping, or try for “bulk” order to save significant amount.

This may be the buckets fault, I don't know, but they are common buckets and these don't fit.I have USG Sheetrock 5 gallon buckets, and a couple from Ace hardware with their logo.Neither will these fit. They snap around and end up one bulged spot that can't go down even with a mallet.I even broke it back off and tried putting it back on after all the tabs were broken and it still wouldn't fit on.So useless to me. But gave 2 stars because they seem solid and well made if they fit your bucket.

The first one I tried to install, I had yet to cut the tabs off first; I figured I'd do that when I needed to open it the next time. The rim of that bucket ended up breaking off. Later, I discovered that the same bucket had some invisible cracks that caused the contents to leak out, so it's probably unrelated to the lids. But they were much easier to install if I cut the tamper-proof tabs first. Once they were on, they sealed extra tight, and I had no issues with leaks, even after using my pail lid tool to remove the entire lid and replace it. It's good value overall, though I'd like to see at least one more lid included for the price.

For all the tight fit and work to get the lid on and it leaks where the metal ring connects the spot to the lid. The price paid for a chunk of plastic, I expected that it would be better quality and not leak.

You’ll need to beat the crap out the lid to get it to fit on a 5 gallon HD (big bright orange home improvement store) bucket. The diameter of this lid versus an HD lid is off by 1/4”. This lid is smaller but will fit with persuasion.

I had no problem installing these on Lowe's & USG joint compond buckets. I sprayed the lid & gasket with silicone spray and the lids snapped on to the buckets easily.

Liked everything so far easy to install done it with my hands. I just clipped the small adjusters around the lid then pushed it on easily. I'm 240lbs and I found it way better than the original. No hammer needed for installation and I pulled it off with my fingers. Perfect lid. 💯👍🏻

Put these on home depot buckets and they are a perfect fit. I didn't need a rubber mallet as others have said. Simply kneel down in the lid making sure it was centered on the bucket then pushed down on the edge and worked my way around. Pay attention to where the spout is before you seal them on, put it so you can hold the handle and pour.

My husband needed a lid with a spout to create a way to wash his hands when out at our property camping, hunting, etc. We had the pump and it screwed on with no problem. The lid was a tad expensive I thought but couldn’t find on in a hardware store around us. He’s happy with it.
