I was looking for a djembe stand that was inexpensive, lightweight, portable, yet sturdy- this Meinl stand checks ALL the boxes!

I use this for my gym. I seldom take it apart and lay it flat. I just leave it all connected and carry it with me.

I bought this not really to use as a performance stand, but just as a stand to keep it in the room. It's much better/stronger than I thought and might use it in a performance. It's not adjustable though. as far as heighth.

Excellent engineering - easy to set up and take apart with the crescent wrench included.3 stars overall because the padding on the upper rim that supports the instrument is too thin. My somewhat heavy djembe made contact with the metal edge and incurred and ugly scratch. 😩 I still like the unit and would buy it again, but need to figure out how extra padding.

It's good, portable, and allows you to setup your djembe at an angle. I think I will use this way more than the strap.

This has absolutely the best price/quality ratio of all stands I found. Actually is the cheapest stand around and it works, at least for my quite small djembe - well. Thanks for this product! Assembling is a complete breeze.Pros:- Very good prize. Actually definitely by a large margin the cheapest stand I found.- Easy to assemble. Very well thought out.- Easy to disassemble.- Holds my Djembe very nicelyCons:- As some reviews suggested, on stage it may not be sturdy enough. This can be. I just use it for occasional playing at for this use it is perfect. Maybe on stage a more expensive model should be considered?

My experience with this product was poor, it doesnt worth it to pay the price. I get in trouble with this in the middle of a gig and my djembe felt down. Not recommended.

I read reviews on several djembe stands, and decided on this one, the .The is a bit more flimsy than the would have been, but is quite a bit lighter and more portable.Disassembled, the Meinl Stand packs flat in its original, 2"-thick carton. If you have ever packed a van with a bandful of instruments and amps, you know how important that can be.Although you need to fiddle with the stand a little to assemble it (the last bracket is hard to line up), it is still easy to assemble. Once assembled, it is reasonably sturdy, and quite stable. The stand keeps the djembe sufficiently off the floor for a good sound. The tilt of the drum is limited to about ten degrees, but a stand that supports extreme tilt is quite expensive.I like the idea that the stand has a round base (I am not a fan of tripod stands because they tend to have a wide footprint, get in the way of other stands, and are easy to trip over and knock over). The stand's six small pieces of rubber tubing around its rim protect the drum and prevent the drum and the stand from vibrating against each other. All in all, I think that I made the right choice of stand for my needs, preferences, and budget.
